We can all moan about the hire now but the truth is that in 8 months from now we will be excited for a new season of Tennessee Football.

Express your anger over this garbage hire and maybe once the stadium is at 30% capacity, someone will take notice.

It is going to be a long few years with Dooley 2.0

I just want them to win; however, I'm not so sure about our chances of winning the MAC conference next year, let alone the Big lEast

Calling out fans on a message board for being front runners or bandwagon fans is soooo 2008.

Anyone that has stuck with this team the past decade is NOT a front runner or bandwagon fan.

First, you have to have a team to pull for that can win something of consequence before you can be front running or a bandwagon fan.

Second, you can support a team without agreeing with the decisions of AD or coach. I have been doing this for a decade or more.


When Jones mops up and recruiting this season and puts us in a decent bowl next season, I'll start coming around. Until then, he is just the newest in a long line of expensive mistakes for UT.

Just because we didn't get Gruden or some NFL coach, that doesn't mean this was a bad hire, folks. I tried to tell you guys for 3 weeks that he wasn't coming. You all kept on believing, though.

Care to be more subjective? Crappy is the season we just finished. We haven't played a down with the new coach.

If we don't win 8 games next season, please proceed to call him a "crappy" hire. You don't know yet if it's a crappy hire. I would have expected "moderation" from a moderator at minimum. Instead, you are trashing the hire and the ink isn't dry on the contract. Rethink your post.

He's a decent coach, just not the one I wanted. The people who like this hire probably think Tennessee is middle of the pack in the SEC

Who knows what will happen but all good coaches don't start off being great. Saban wasn't a world beater at Michigan St. His resume is much better than Dooley's that's for sure.
