Going w/ black shoes, socks, gloves w/ the all white unis. Not my favorite, but hey it’s the players call .

As an ancient traditionalist who regards Tennessee orange as the prettiest and most distinctive color in college athletics, I would like to request a logical, defensible answer to the following question from those who prefer this road uniform: Why do you want to absolutely minimize our trademark color? There simply is no color in college football that is more instantaneously recognizable than Tennessee orange.

If we lose I am going to do the irrational thing most Vol fans do and blame the stormtroopers. I like to see Tennessee Orange on the field, not some generic style that everyone else wears.
Those whites are an iconic part of Tennessee football now!
I love orange too but the all whites are nasty...in a good way.

I am fine with all of our traditional uniforms in any combination, it is when they wear the alternative uniforms that I am displeased. I really dislike the smokey grey uniforms.

Agree. The only alternatives should be the Stormtroopers and the all orange, but always with white helmets.

I don't disagree, but the orange numbers and accents jump off the Stormtroopers. There's no mistaking who's wearing them.

I agree and imo a team should be able to wear whatever they want(the black and white tv excuse is lame in 2024) but as long as uniforms are being enforced, I like the all whites.

I don't think there's anyone who actually wants to minimize our trademark color.

Yes, the black and white TV tradition of requiring the visiting team to wear white should have been retired long ago. The only circumstance in which it could be retained would be if two teams have virtually identical color schemes, say Alabama vs. Oklahoma.
