Strange food combinations that you love

Mashed potatoes and green pees are really good mixed together. (Only way to eat pees IMO.)

Souse meat and crackers?

I never witnessed him eat that but I wouldn't put it past him. My Grandfather ate some NASTY ****! He liked those pickled eggs you would only find at old mom and pop stores, swimming in some cloudy liquid that looked like they'd been sitting at the counter for 10 years. He also loved boiled peanuts, another food item I'll never understand the appeal. Who finds cold, wet, salty/soggy peanuts tasty?

Bless your heart.😉
I love pickled eggs...but have only had homemade, was always scared of those things sold in stores/lunch counters.
As to boiled peanuts, think that may be a a 'born to' taste:p, and if they aren't done by someone who knows what they are doing (my SC brother💕) then they can be nasty:sick:.

I don't think it's too uncommon, but I like apple sauce on my pork chops. I also like macaroni & Cheese with tuna mixed in.

The pork chops and apple sauce isn't that strange. Cheesecake Factory serves theirs on top of apple sauce, it's so good.

I made a mistake and bought that once. As a man from Carolina I can attest that is not Carolina BBQ sauce. Downright terrible.

I wouldn't call it Carolina style but it's not terrible. Pretty good on chicken, IMO.

For those from Knoxville, it reminded me a little of Ott's sauce.

Sitting here thinking about all the good food I can't currently eat. With my liver cirrhosis, I have to maintain a low-sodium diet. I miss bologna and cheese sandwiches, and fried bologna, and real bacon, real sausage, real gravy and biscuits, honey spiraled ham, and so many other good eats.

Sorry Weezer, always in my prayers, hope you are having a good day.

That said, forgot about a favorite, fried egg and peanut butter sandwich. I made one yesterday and it was great. Better with bacon but we were out.

Also, working at a high school I occasionally treat myself with the school lunch. Last week it was baked mac and cheese with pineapples on the side. I mixed it all together for a cheesy and tangy delight. My students thought it was strange...
