Strictly rumor from Texas

Saban looks miserable. It's NC or bust at Bama. There is no joy, only relief for him after he wins. If Texas were to want him, they will have him. Supposedly the fired AD is all that kept it from happening last time. It would be a PR nightmare firing Strong, but don't think Texas cares.

I really don't think they'd worry about the PR of getting Saban, no matter what the cost. Any heat from that would be written off to "it's just business".

Are they ready to dump Strong already? Is that why Patterson got the ax? Strong is just starting his second year. Having had a not-good first year and being embarrassed in their first game this year, I could see boosters wanting to boot him after this year, if it is bad, but it's still a touch early, no?

Yeah probably want to hire their former 'head coach in waiting'. Muschump

Lets not forget that Baylor fought hard to keep A&M from leaving the Big 12.

It was more they fought hard to make sure they still had a home. They weren't finding another one amongst the major conferences around 2010/2011 otherwise.

That is true. Baylor wouldn't have had a home, if the Big 12 folded.

But like I said before, Texas is the reason that the Big 12 got into its predicament.
