Suggestions for freak

One thing I'm not fond of is the delay between the page loading and the ads loading. I'm only seeing it on mobile (you know why) but there is up to a three second delay or so that "bumps" the page down and one clicks on the wrong forum or thread.

More of an annoyance and me griping rather than something to change.

I'm trying to get in the habit of waiting a second before I click too.

Maybe I'm late to the game, but when I was clicking on the home page from my mobile, it was the new layout, a new site. I'm clicking on the home link on a PC and it takes me back to the old school home page with horrible sizing issues. just a heads up.

I recall reading that they are.

My opinion is if they are, they will make every post taller, though, so maybe there's a creative way to integrate them without doing that?

When did you see a new layout? Maybe early this morning when I was doing some testing? I have a new home page layout that scales to mobile better (finally) but it's not quite ready yet.

I had previously only seen it on mobile. Never even tried to look on PC. But the mobile homepage layout was undeniably different. However, I'm at work in the Pentagon and can't even get signal on my phone, so I have no idea how mobile looks right now. Also, this is your tax dollars at work.

The "Last Person to Post Wins" thread in the zone has disappeared. I checked my posting history and it's not showing any posts in that thread, even though I know I've posted in it several times over the last few days. My post count also dropped by a couple hundred, so I'm assuming it's just gone.

Not a request, just sayin it would be great if the edit went straight to edit instead of a drop and select.

I mention it because I use edit often and I try to do it as quick as possible before someone notices it. Its just an extra step and when Im in such a hurry and the screen jumps, like GV mentioned, that simple task can turn into a third world problem.

Just my 2 sents.

Mine started doing this just today. The dropdown is gone, and just the word edit is there (not a button)

Do you see it next to the Report button?

Edit to add: and now it’s gone. Or at least it isn’t there on my phone

Edit again: but it's there on my laptop. (I am not digging out the iPad at this moment.)

maybe this is a real-estate issue, with not enough space on mobile?

Yes, it drops down and says "more options" which I can't select, and "Edit" which I must select to edit.

This is not a problem. Just a mention. I feel bad for saying anything now. Lol.

Now that I'm on a computer I can explain further. Basically, it acts like there are no ads on the page when you first load it and then a second or two later, pushes the entire page down to insert the ad at the top.

Minor annoyance more than anything. But I kept trying to click on the PF, but kept ending up in the Pub lol. Now, as Volly suggested, I just wait a few seconds before clicking and it pops down. Sometimes I have to scroll a tad on mobile, but it's not causing any functional issues other than operator error.
