And I still go with my original post. The two best games so far of the weekend was at the same time tonight. Sucked having to flip back and forth but i'm damn glad i'm not an aggie fan tonight. Lol

No one was disagreeing with that part of your original post. It's a shame that FOX and Disney/ABC/ESPN are so concerned mainly with network and ratings competition against each other that both chose to air those games at the same time that day, forcing people to choose between one or the other.

They're just pointing how it's misplaced to direct contempt, anger, or frustration the NCAA's way over this. That should go towards the broadcasters like FOX and Disney/ESPN.

I've worked in academia for a long time. Spent time at 5 D1(fbs) programs. I'm currently working in the Big 12. Loved the university at VT but can't stand the fanbase. I will tell anyone I meet that VT fans are the most arrogant fans to never have won a championship in any team sport in school history.

But they have that trophy case...


And I like Fuente. Seems like a nice guy. Doesnt get ruffled.

Either or they should not let them put the only two games on today at the same time. The time difference between the two games is 3 hours, inexcusable.

The NCAA has no say on this. A court case involving Oklahoma back in the 1980s pretty much locked them out from being involved at all in this matter.

The TV contracts are directly with the conferences, and in exchange for the payment (i.e., the TV money that gets split among each school every summer) each conference likely gives that broadcast network the right/power to decide the air times of the selected games.
