Super Bowl 50 Prediction Thread

I'm not saying they will go 4-12 but that team today was not any where close to a super bowl contender

In week one of the 2003 season the Patriots lost 31-0 at Buffalo. That season ended pretty well. I know the whole Lawyer Milloy thing makes it a little different, but it's week one.

I completely understand what you are saying and it is just one game and that is likely the best d in the league but it's the same issues with this team. Nothing ever changes. The NFL still comes down to running the ball and stopping the run, the Colts can't do either.

It's week 1. I wouldn't look too much into how today's games go.

Yep no week is more overreacted than nfl week 1. There are fans that view it as a gospel.

A person should not view week 1 as the gospel for what a team will be. Making a huge conclusion after 6.25 percent of the regular season is played is utterly ridulous.

The Mets beat the Nationals in Game 1 of 162. And here we are. I'm not not saying there's a correlation.

My point is it's not a flawless predictor for the kind of season a team will have. If it was then it be utterly dull like finding out the answers in a mystery story at the start.
Or gambling at a casino but knowing your going to win.

I picked the mets as a surprise team. They are a kickass team.

There are teams that win their first game that then get exposed while others prove it wasnt fools gold. Whether it's nfl, nba, nhl, or mlb.

Dude I was pulling your leg lol. I agree that game 1 is just game 1. The thing about the Mets is more that this is the first time in a decade that I can brag about my team

Generally speaking think of any time in Mets history.

The Mets have been to 4 World Series since the franchise was started in 1962. The Cubs haven't been to the World Series since the Mets have existed.

But yeah...throw stones.

Really I never said the cubs are a superior team historically whether overtly or subtely.

Can you limit dissapointment of mets historically to 2 seasons?
You can't if your being honest.

With regards to collapses, I only know of 2. The worse of the 2 was 2007
