Super Regional selection

If UT can sweep the Regional at Clemson why not Southern Miss? Having said UT has the better overall profile to host the Supers. No way Southern Miss would have done better with UT schedule. But hey let id rather play at Sothern Miss than Wake Forest LSU or UF. Bama actually got screwed with an RPI of 11 playing #1. South Carolina 6 RPI is playing at 3 UF. #2 UK is playing at #6 LSU. Id much rather play Southern Miss. Plus I am thrilled Arky and Vandy wont be in the CWS!! Lets GBO!

Plus UT twitter should be bragging and maybe it has but I havent seen it. UT is the only university to have both men and women in the top 16 in baseball, softball, basketball, and tennis. Not to mention swimming and diving. Plus UT football winning a New Years Day Bowl and finishing in the top 6. Has that ever happend before for any University to have those 9 teams to finish that high?

Bama got the easiest Regional with a 16 seed. They’re lucky to be in the Supers.

The selection committee botched everything about this tournament, it has been an absolute circus and highlights the incompetence of the NCAA. Cohen should be removed from all committees
Clemson has every right to be livid.

It's time people remembered who this team is and gave it some "record credit" for playing the most brutal first half of a season anyone has ever seen.

I’m not sure what seed USM was in their regional, but it can’t be higher than #2, which is what see the Vols were.
Clemson (who the Vols beat) was #4 national seed, and higher than Auburn (who USM beat)
Vols ran through their regional undefeated, USM had to beat Penn twice (Penn is barely #100 RPI, I read somewhere) to win their regional
Stadiums are comparable in size
Knoxville is a better market than Hattiesburg (economy-wise, attraction-wise, weather-wise)
Vols pack the house and sold out whole season
Strength of schedule favors the Vols

Those reasons should be why Tennessee hosts.
They are also the reason I wouldn’t expect them to host, because it’s the NCAA who is making this decision. They’ll probably give the coach one last ride in his ballpark and claim the “rule” they have in place about fans getting on to the officials as justification for snubbing UT. Personally, if you can’t take verbal abuse from fans and coaches, you should not be an official in any sport-sorry.
I guess we’ll find out in a few minutes. I will happily be wrong

Might help us that there are only 2 other SEC teams hosting supers. Still expecting Hattiesburg though. Beautiful this time of year

doesnt matter. We will only be in Hattiesburg for two days. What sucks is we will draw LSU first round in Omaha. IDK if this team is equipped to beat LSU.

Dolly’s best day is equal or better than Skenes. We just haven’t seen dolly at his best since last season.

Queue the “he’s due” responses

We were suppose to be put out by Clemson--they were at home and on a huge winning streak. Vandy closer was unhittable-- we hit and won the game. LSU might even lose in their super regional. It ain't over till it's over.
