Supreme Court strikes down Louisiana law that would have limited state to one abortion clinic

Abortions kill the mom, or the entity with a completely different set of DNA?

Their choices are somewhere as follows: engage in sexual activity, dont do enough to protect themselves from an outcome they dont want even though they are purposefully engaging in the one act that leads to the outcome they dont want. And then once they get the outcome they dont want while having at least three opportunities to stop the outcome they then default to it being about "their" body when they decide to actively kill another human to avoid said outcome.

And somehow even though its "their body" the procedure is designed to specifically affect the other entity.

It's just not an internally consistent argument.

At least make it some sort of Russian Roulette where there is a chance their body is effected.

Assisted suicide doesnt count if the dead body is a third party.

This would be a logical argument if you didn't have hayseed evangelical panderers that are looking to ban abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected irrespective of whether the pregnancies are as a result of rape or incest.

If the pro choice people stop pulling against the chain, the pro life crowd will always be looking to steal a link or two, like they are in Tennessee.

You're actually being too kind to call this his biggest mistake. By far his biggest mistake was invading Iraq and Afghanistan. Proof of this is all the wounded warriors and the trillions of dollars spent.

But you bring up a great point. Why are Republicans so bad at picking SC candidates? GW also tried to get Harriet Myers in. His Dad gave us David Souter. You don't see Dem Presidents giving us moderates. Why do Republicans? Say what you want about Trump, but if you're a true Conservative, he's produced better SC justices than any GOP President in my lifetime.
At this point I would rather have Harriet Myers than John Roberts. You are right dem Presidents never nominate someone who flips and turns conservative. I guess the question is were the Bushes fooled by the likes of Roberts and Souter or did they know these idiots were liberals?

Roberts' decisions will impact the whole country poorly for decades.

It must be maddening that RBG didn't croak during Trumps only term.

I mean, I still can't believe she's still alive. It'd be pretty hilarious to see Biden nominate somebody like Gloria Allred to the high court, you guys would friggin lose it.

I didn't want the old liberal hag to die but I did want her to step down (hopefully without breaking a hip)

I would be super entertained if she had to retire next month and Trump nominated and got Amy Barrett approved in her place and in an election year

Been in healthcare for 21 years. Wear masks everyday in a certain area of the hospital. I know what I’m talking about. Thanks for letting me educate you.

There is a reason disposable masks are disposable. After the repeated touching they become viral/bacterial filters that you are wearing on your face.

So unless you have access to an autoclave sterilizer for your mask you are doing more harm than good.
What you are describing is wearing a mask to prevent being contaminated. What if you are using the mask to prevent spread from yourself if you are an undiagnosed asymptomatic? I wear a mask if I'm in places that are confined with no airflow because if I have it, I'm breathing into the air unknowingly. The mask should mitigate travel.

The idiots I keep seeing in their cars by themselves with the windows down, wearing a mask.

Life kinda matters to us.

Your proposed scenario is by and large the exception, not the rule. It's a terrible way to start the argument. I was kinda shocked by the numbers.

There are more than 800k abortions. There are about 125k rapes. Granted not all go reported, but that certainly is going to more than even out with not every rape resulting in pregnancy.

So at very very best/worst you are arguing for 15% of abortions.

Personally I am "fine" with those cases being aborted. Provide a police report and get the abortion. Done.

For the other 85% gtfo. If women can make the dads pay for the kid the dad may not want it doesnt seem like preference plays a part in the argument.

Seem fair, or at least consistent?

There hasn't been a consistent message from day 1. Who could have foreseen that c list TV reality realtor who uses chaos as a management tool wouldn't have a clue on how to deal with a national crisis?

But, but, but... OBAMA!!!!

My proposed scenario? No, friend - it's the scenario Tennessee is dealing with right now.

While I'm glad you see the flaw in the law - your pro life brethren do not. Until then, it's not remotely "fair" to tell a woman she must bear the child of a rapist. It's outrageous and until you can get your house in order, don't get too comfortable while pointing at other peoples arguments and calling them "terrible".

A mask is about protecting human life too.....what is the difference?
Not a comment on this case, though I'm sure it will be taken that way, but if we're going to go down this road, why not mandate condoms be worn by all non-married couples? Same argument of saving lives could easily be applied. How much are we willing to let the government dictate in the name of "saving lives"?
