They should have just stuck to a 3-3 split, forced a 3 way tie if the guys used the super idol on one of them, just vote the other out on the re-vote. If they don't use it, which I assume they wouldn't, make it look like you are going to split again next vote, they play the idols and blindside Debbie.

Idk who I would call the favorite right now, but that old dude would be going with me to the finals he's one of the worst players ever.

Cydni was playing by far the best game until she called out Nick last week. Before that, nobody even knew she was playing the game. Now they are targeting her.

Getting fatter? Her clothes are clearly falling off her now.

In the end, Scot and Jason didn't even need to sabotage. That was just dumb. Their strategy at tribal was brilliant though, as long as those three stay tight.

Yeah the other group can't even split it and make them choose who gets the super idol. Now it would be 3-2 the 3 guy gets it and the guys vote out whoever. I can't stand Scot and especially Jason but they are sitting pretty now.

I agree and I want her or Tai to win, if her group wins this power struggle she should be in the drivers seat. One thing I hate about Survivor is the people voting tend to get hurt feelings and vote who they like to win. Big Brother cast usual gets it right. IMO

Yeah, the girls really screwed the pooch on that one. They should have agreed with Debbie to not vote out Julia if Debbie promised to keep Julia in the dark and pass misinformation to the guys.

Also, the fact that they wanted Julia gone simply because she was trying to play both sides...if you know she is playing both sides you can use that to your advantage, and she is not the biggest threat. It's mostly threatening if you aren't aware you can't trust her.

Debbie went home because she was so obsessed with guys vs girls, instead of playing the game.

I hated Debbie so her going home isn't a problem for me. As for Julia, even after this last tribal you don't really know who she is aligning herself with. I think she's truly aligned with the guys now but having voted Debbie could have either been a sign she is still with the girls or it simply could have been that she hated Debbie that much. We won't really know for sure until next episode.

Yeah, I'm not sure the rest of the group really got the rules of the superidol and that it could have only been used once on one person.

Tai actually bothered me a bit in this episode. He really caved in to the peer pressure of Scott and Jason. Putting out that fire was not something he would have really done. I think there is a chance they could pull Tai back away from the guys and if that happens Jason and Scott aren't sitting pretty anymore.

I'm with you on Jason and Scott. Those two are insufferable.

Tai said tribal before last that it could make a super idol didn't he? Would have been funny if they split the votes with Scot and Jason and Tai was just like thanks for the idol. Lol

Yeah I was disappointed too, he seems like such a nice guy

Edit: I misread your post, you are right they probably don't know exactly what it does.

He mentioned the Super Idol, but aside from himself, Scot and Jason, I don't think anyone else left in the game even knows what that means. It's never been a part of the game before, and the instructions for it came with the idol. The other guy who found one had to be med-evacced, and while he told Aubrey he had the idol, I don't recall him telling her the whole story about the Super Idol.

I think she voted for Debbie because she knew that none of the guys were going home. Also, I'm guessing that's who Aubry told her to vote for when she was whispering in her ear.

Whoa, Tai! I kind of thought he might do that, but also thought he might have been too afraid. Huge move!

I didn't see Scots exit speach before I posted that, so he left with Jason's idol...lol double awesome.

Funny that the blonde chick is telling Tai to play the idol, and is mad at him in the previews for next week when she voted for him this week.

That was damn epic! I was cheering at that tribal result like the Vols just won a game.

That was probably my second favorite Tribal behind Parvati handing out Idols like it was Christmas.

Not too much really happened in this episode. I thought Tai might have a chance of being voted out there at the last minute but their group stuck to their word. I'm not sure I completely agree with leaving Jason and voting out Julia from a strategic standpoint though.

The preview for the next episode looks far more entertaining than this one ended up being.

With the benefit of hindsight, Tai not playing the idol is so smart...if he didn't have the secret power, I would have said for sure play the idol...because if he doesn't have the idol he is no longer the biggest threat...but with the secret power he needs the idol to protect himself. In a perfect world he would play them in the same week to flip the result.

It was definitely the right move to keep it but I don't think he has to use the extra vote AND the idol at the same time. If he finds himself in a split vote position theoretically he could use the extra vote. It helps he hasn't told anybody else what the advantage is, at least I think he hasn't.

How does the vote work? Does he cast after he knows the vote or does he have to use it when he casts his initial vote?

When Joe and Aubry found out that the extra vote was Tai's advantage, if they were smart, they would have flipped and voted him out. He laid out his plan to them and should have struck before he plays his idol at next tribal. He's guaranteed final four now.

This is exactly what I was thinking.
