These aren't football geniuses.
I don't think a single one of them even noticed the quiet engine that makes Hooker so successful: a really high-performing offensive line.
They also think we don't run the ball well...203 yards per game says otherwise. That's good enough for top 25 in the country, I think. And that's on TOP of one of the nation's most prolific passing threats.
Yah, most of these guys watch football like my wife: follow the ball, talk about the QB, mostly forget the other 21 guys on the field. Heh.
Go Vols!
They’re certainly not a delusional bunch like the KY and SC fans.
Hell it's a good question. I've always been a Heup believer but I didn't see this happening in year two. It's is one of the biggest, fastest turnarounds in CFB history.
I have to believe uga hates it more than anybody. They finally win it all and immediately the Vols head back up top. Gah, I hope we beat them next week. I'm petty and I know it.Hell it's a good question. I've always been a Heup believer but I didn't see this happening in year two. It's is one of the biggest, fastest turnarounds in CFB history.
Basically UT runs cover 2/3 beaters every play. You gotta refuse to play it. Cover 0/1 all day with all others combined for maybe 10 plays situationally. Cover 4 is better than 2/3.
They already can’t run, so I wouldn’t respect it at all. Not respecting the TE’s either. If any combo of those guys can outscore my O, again, hats off.
Heupel basically bets you’ll give in to conventional wisdom and run these “safe” D’s, and it’s a guarantee that the next play is waiting for that convention. Maybe Tillman and Hyatt eat up my DB’s one on one but maybe not. I know for sure they can run under bombs while the secondary over-respects the other options.
