If I listened to that more than once, I would stick flaming Q-tips in my ears to burn it from my memory.

At least Woolridge is consistent...

Yep. I'm so glad he's wasting a scholarship putting stupid rap videos on youtube rather than trying to be a halfway competent basketball player. We should all be so proud.

Yeah, sports and school are the only two things student athletes should focus on. Any hobbies or social life should be banned.

If Renaldo was worth a crap at what he is on scholarship for, I would have no problem with this stuff.

Yea, it's a complete joke to think a 4 star basketball player could average more than 2 pts a game.

That's not what I'm posting about. He's allowed to do things outside of basketball, regardless of what Rivals ranked him....or regardless of his play.

I'm pretty sure everybody knows this. But somehow, I don't think everyone is going to get all giddy in anticipation of Renaldo's next youtube rap video when he has been a monumental disappointment in what he is actually receiving a free education for. I know that's very difficult to understand.

I don't think you understand that, because your original comment was that he's "wasting a scholarship" by posting Youtube videos.

I actually meant he's wasting a scholarship by sucking; and maybe he should consider trying to get better at basketball than making rap videos. But, according to you, that doesn't make any sense.

It makes perfect sense but it's unreasonable.

My point is he's allowed to do what he wants on his off time. Of course we want our players to put in the maximum effort and extra practice, but you can just as easily classify to any non-sports or academic activity as not getting better.

And I can only respond to what you post, not what you meant. Again, you said "he's wasting a scholarship putting stupid rap videos on Youtube."

That's why I clarified for you. I'm not saying Woolridge should be locked in a gym 24 hrs a day either; however, from everything I have heard, Woolridge spends tons and tons of time working on rap videos. So, I'm sure it takes away from his work on basketball to some extent. For example, he put on his Twitter that he was taking all his music equipment to the Virgin Islands with him to work on while they were down there.

Being a student athlete and being on the basketball team with daily practice, as well as academic requirements would seem that it should take up most of his time. If he has free time, he really should spend it on trying to improve his game. He'll have the rest of his life to do his music as it is very clear that he will have no future in basketball beyond his college days. Kiffinator 13 is absolutely on target. Sorry you can't understand that. He is getting a scholarship to play basketball, not make music.

He won't have the rest of his life to be a 18-22 year old college student. He and every other scholarship athlete have every right to live like any other college student. To hold them to that high a standard to beyond unfair. If they want to post Youtube videos, go to parties, or go out downtown there's nothing wrong with that. This isn't Liberty University.

Man, you have no idea of the challenges of keeping up academics and playing a varsity sport. If he has all this free time, I would be extremely suprised. Of course he can have a life and do what he wants---being a productive basketball player doesn't seem to be much of a priority for him though.

Yes I do.
