I'd take my 5 semesters experience working and managing in Thornton over any supposed knowledge you have about the academic challenges a NCAA scholarship athlete faces.

But whatever, maybe you two can jockey for Hamilton's job. I'd suggest your first step be dropping the school down to DIII, cause that's the quality athlete UT would attract with the standard you guys apparently hold athletes to.

I never, not once, met a athlete who hunkered in their dorm or apartment studying or spent all their free time on the practice field. That goes for All Americans and Olympians all the way to scrubs and busts. It's honestly too absurd for me to even continue discussing.

Yep, you're definitely right. You just can't find players today that spend more time on their scholarship sport rather than their rap career. Look at all of the other rappers on UT's campus. We better knock it down to D-III where no one raps.

Thanks for verification that you have absolutely no athletic experience, but I bet being a tutor makes you an absolute authority on this subject. Most great players in any sport spend most of their time making music, rather than practicing thier sport. Great post!

Between practices, travel time, and team related responsibilities, I don't believe that to be possibly true. Unless Pearl somehow allows him to miss workouts in favor of the rap studio, which I don't believe. Maybe you can link me to proof that he spends more time in week writing raps or whatever than basketball activities. I don't believe it for a minute.

I can only laugh at this post.

You should be laughing at the lack of academic progress made by our athletes that you were responsible for tutoring.

Clearly the Orange Pride exists not to display the social aspects of being a student athlete at UT, but to show recruits where to go study and practice while everyone else is partying, LOL.

I don't think you really want to use the Orange Pride as a good example of socialization of our athletes at this particular time. I hope the NCAA doesn't talk to you. Perhaps if you had put more focus on academics, rather than socialization, we would not have lost a scholarship in basketball. Your tutoring experience is not something to tout as making you knowledgeable about anything. In fact, it reflects your complete failure in your 5 semesters in Thorton. With you as a tutor, no wonder things aren't good. Were you an Orange Pride member also? Great work!!

One minute you cry about being insulted, now this. Wow.

Another great response with no substance---I understand Dude, you really have nothing of substance that you can respond with.

There's no point directly responding to your ignorant and assumptive posts. I'd rather make fun and laugh at you.

Oh, and if you're going to criticize the job I did in Thornton you could at least get your facts straight on what jobs I held there. But that would require you to have a clue, so..

Since I spent considerable time in Thornton Athletics Center (as a scholarship athlete) I will say two things:

1. The people monitoring the rooms are little more than hall monitors

2. The tutors helped me pass a math class I had no chance in

3. If you need any Spanish class help, seek a baseball player and not a tutor

To be honest, Dude, your experience compared to mine or any other letter winner is not at all a realistic comparison. No offense, I appreciated greatly the services you all provided, but we're talking apples and oranges here...

It's very clear that your only response is to try to laugh and make fun as there is absolutely no substance to your response. If you can't have a come-back, just rely on stupid posts that have no basis or connection to the discussion---such as your Orange Pride post.

Yep. I'm so glad he's wasting a scholarship putting stupid rap videos on youtube rather than trying to be a halfway competent basketball player. We should all be so proud.

Wasting a scholly huh? Do you know his current GPA or are you just assuming something you have no idea about bc you think rap is Jungle music.I bet if JCrompt made a country song you wouldn't be talking. Leave him alone and don't listen if you don't like it.

The whole issue is his music vs. this basketball. He is doing very poorly in basketball, so I guess it would be good if he could do well in music? I won't listen to him or any other rap artist---it isn't real music. I just wish he would spend some time on trying to improve as a basketball player because much improvement is needed.

Edit: I don't like rap. However, I do recognize the hard work and talent that these artists(like any artist) put into their MUSIC.

That's what he meant to say. (He's not house trained)

Other than length of employment, you don't even know my experience.

I never compared my experience to any athlete.

No offense taken, I'm glad it was a help to you.
