If anything, you should be frustrated that Martin was able to do there what he had trouble doing here - getting his team to play with some passion in their first games of the season. That was one of my biggest "beefs" with the previous coaching staff (Xavier game, preseason tournaments, among others)....
Martin didn't belong at Tennessee, if you look @ things correctly. CCM never had a significant victory, either in recruiting, or on the court. His time here was among the worst ever in VOL basketball. This new guy however, is a much better fit. He bears much more of a resemblance to the guy everyone was so desperate to have re-hired by UT. Even has the NCAA trouble to match. Glad we have him here, leading our team. GoVols.
Is this for real? Or should this be blue font? And, no, I am not a Martin apologist because last year's team underachieved at times.
That said, some of you guys let your emotion on the issue cloud your judgment. Never had a significant victory? Martin swept UF in his first season, beat UConn, a ranked Vandy team, and a Wichita State team that went to the Final Four, and some of you want to compare him to Dooley. Worst ever in Vol history? Do you remember Wade Houston and Buzz Peterson, and I was only alive for those two as I am sure there is more.
Geez, some of you need to let it go. He was above average and took us to a Sweet 16. He didn't want to be here, and we have a new coach who seems to be good if he can stay out of trouble. JMO.

That PG was asked to stay and decided to leave.....He did have experience but had yet to prove that he was a viable starting PG in the SEC......that being said Zo also left us without a single post player that CDT had to scramble to fill.
Okorah played well against Syracuse. He was committed to UT, which would have helped. Cofer is starting for FSU as a freshman. Cornish had a nice game for UNLV the Other day. That looks like a solid 3,4,5.There is no way know what the roster would have looked like this year with Martin.
solid 3,4,5???? Okorah is avg 2.7 ppg and 3.7 RPG, Cornish 5 PPG, Cofer-----who is the one I wish had stayed is avg 9 PPG, 5.5 RPG while shooting 43% as a post....
Mostella is avg 11.5 PPG, Baukman 5 PPG, and Carmichael 5 PPG and 4 RPG.......explain to me the difference between those players?
The players you listed have nothing to do with what I was talking about. I'm not comparing the two teams, I was stating that some of the players Martin recruited would be viable options in the post.
Also, we were talking about post players. Mostella and Baulkman are both guards.
