They are incredibly difficult. He's right, only one team I'd say is your best bet for a Final Four, but how many other teams are there like that? Kentucky? Kansas? Anybody else?
I think the Big XII is the toughest conference in the country as it is more difficult top to bottom. Nobody that really sucks, a huge percentage of it is going to make the field.
But the Big East has more "elite" teams this year between Nova, Cuse, GTown, WVU, etc. and a bunch of pretty good teams in the middle. But that's just by volume, which is what happens when your conference encompasses like 1/4 of Division I.
