If you're asking the question did antifa go over to Syria/Northern Iraq with the express intent of getting training to stick it to "da man!" back here in Anytown, USA, the answer is no.

Did Americans associated with antifa go over and fight with the various groups against ISIS? Yes.

Can they bring that "training" home? Yeah, but I'd suspect it's such a limited number it wouldn't be that helpful. If they survived, that is.

The Kurds were the primary ground forces. They also had the job of securing supply lines for for the U.S. and other Coalition partners. That is vital.
