Talk to us about.....a defensive legend.

In 1991 or so, Reggie and his 2 sons (IIRC) walked into our Electronics Boutique in West Town Mall.

He bought a sh*t ton of video games and a couple Sega Genesis consoles.

Pulled out some sort of credit card I'd never seen before to pay... shockingly, it wasn't declined ;-)

He had his gravel-like voice, was still a huge dude and was super friendly. Most people didn't recognize him, but I sure did.

Didn't bug him for his autograph, and off they went.

Of note, Shaquille O'Neal and most of the LSU basketball team also came into our store once. One of our employees ran over to the athletic goods store, bought an official basketball and asked for his autograph. He got it. Probably worth alot these days I'd guess.

NFL guys were much larger around 250-270 back then. Remember thou, they never lifted weights then either, it was natural strength from working in fields, factories. My dad worked as a machinist for 40 yrs and a lot of pro athletes worked in the foundry at his plant in their offseason.

Clarification, good point I was referring to college players in the 50s, should have made it clearer.

Yeah, imagine if Reggie had today's technology and workout regiments today.
