actually that is exactly racism.

Actually it's not.

rac·ism Audio Help /ˈreɪsɪzəm/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[rey-siz-uhm] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun 1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.

Racism has a negative connotation. Him saying that when you see a black QB and immediatly think he is fast is not racism. It's a stereotype.

Saying that a black QB is more athletic most likely that a white one is does not mean they are superior. It just means they are more athletic. Racism means that because I am this color I am better that you because you are that color. It's a bunch of trash.

Find me one person on this board that agrees with you that it's racism to think if you have 2 qb's (one white and one black) that automatically one would assume the black one is a better athlete. That is a stereotype. NOT racism.

I'm honestly shocked that the conversation about this kid has descended into a semantic debate about the definition of racism. At this point, you guys are all just beating a dead horse and feigning some sense of chivalristic character. Let's let bygones be bygones and get back on topic. Last I checked the title of the thread is Tate Forcier. Does anyone have anything positive to say about this kid? Do we have any shot?

let me spell this out for as simply as I can....one who perpetuates a racial stereotype is practicing racism.

That could be considered "racist" because you are using the stereotype that all whites are "slow" or not as fast as African Americans. That's nothing more than a stereotype.

When you see a real fast white QB it's a little surprising.

Also, when you see a black QB you somewhat expect him to be fast.

It's just human nature. Not racism.

Not true. Im white and I was faster than all but one athlete at my high school.
I was also faster than our sprinters at MTSU in the 40 yard dash.

Dawson do you have any eligibility left? We could always work you into the rotation at CB. :)
