I would say the pee test is the way they go. Hair tests are pretty expensive and take a lot longer to get back. Pee test can come back same day or within a couple of days.

They would have to consent to be tested by the KPD, and assuming they have lawyers that are worth a damn, then that would never happen.

Im under the impression that this is a University test for NCAA purposes...I could be wrong.

The article says the tests were administered..."Shortly after the arrest"....That is fairly vague.

Well I think that they should be punished for putting themselves in that situation... but I'd say the arrest and subsequent suspension may be enough. They need to be punished in a way that also serves as a standard and a preventative measure for future problems.

As much as I hate to change what we have going on right now, I just don't think we can be as successful down the stretch without a little more depth. In the end, I trust Bruce Pearl and whatever decision he makes.

Especially for athletes. Most of them dont even need to buy those clear drinks just b/c they are in such great shape 4 hard days of B-Ball and tons of water gets and some time in the sauna to get stuff out of their system that takes commonfolk 2-3 months to get out. No fat=no storage for the THC.

Witch Doctor not know who administered the test..KPD? or UT AD dept? Witch Doctor withhold "blog-condemnation" until more facts are known. Witch Doctor pretty sure Tyler the bad-apple in all this...Witch Doctor say maybe like Brandon Warren the bad apple leaves and the team starts producing better fruit. Witch Doctor say team has played with MUCH more hustle and determination(?)

Use of marijuana does not get you kicked off any athletic team at Tennessee much less "looking like someone who smokes it". However, I'm guessing racial slurs could probably get somebody kicked off this forum

Just so everybody knows, UT and the NCAA use urine tests and if they are to diluted you have to take a retest. Also from my understanding, being a former UT football player, if you have to take a certain number of retests in a row it counts as a failed test.

I had many friends in college that said no thanks when weed was passed their way, including some of your favorite UT basketball players. It is more prevalent than most people think, but that doesn't mean people don't "pass on grass" all the time.
