Tatum is still the starter

Bottom line is this team has guards that are not SEC caliber, except for maybe Golden. McBee, McRae, Tatum are all not the types of guards that will make other teams worry about defending the perimeter. Yes, they may all get hot every once in a while, but lack on consistency from all 3 keeps them from being "feared" by other teams. I left Richardson out because he is only a freshman and I think he has alot of upside.

Since we're playing at home, I expect McBee to have a decent shooting game. That said, I would limit his playing time on the road where he always seems to shoot very poorly. We really do need a good outside shooter and a good ball handler with quickness in order to be a tournament team.

You obviously ventured over from the football forum and have watched 1 or 2 games this year...
Well he's like 1-50 in his last 5 sec games, that's really not over reacting. Obviously not everyone will be a lofton or king no crap, but asking the guy to shoot the ball at a half way decent % isn't asking too much, especially from a 5th year senior.

Ive watched tatum since he came to ut thank you...tatum is a spot up shooter that relied on players to drive the ball and kick it to him for the open shot..and now their is no players that can get him his shots he isnt the type of player that can create his own shots..sure he is in a shooting slump but your suppose to support the players not treat them like ****...think of all the good things tatum has done here at ut and now that he is strugglin all the fans are turning their backs to him..disgusting

lol wow i hate fans that call out our own players..so tatum doesnt score 25 pts a game and he is going through a shooting slump.so what he is human you people need to lower your expectations for players not every1 is gona be a bernard king or a chris lofton..****ty fans
At some point, slump no longer applies. We passed that point as a soph.

Tatum has about 2 good games a month.
It's the first game in February.

That's part of being an athlete, how did Cleveland fans react to lebron leaving, he did a lot of good for them.

The point is that's part of being an athlete. Woolridge was god after the Kansas game because fans jumped his junk with what he is, then he disappeared and everyone questioned him. That's part of being an athlete your in the spotlight and are going to be ridiculed every game, whether that's fair or not it's the truth. With that said yes we should support tatum he has represented Tennessee in a positive manner in his time here, that doesn't mean we shouldn't complain about his performance though does it? Just because someone has done something or been a good person doesn't earn them a starting spot, with that theory lets start Tyler summit, great kid great student and represents Tennessee probably better than anybody. Get the point? Yes we should support him, but at the same time we should also expect better play from him and if he can't provide it then someone else should get a chance. This is not unfair to ask.

I understand the ridicule he receives bc tatum is to good a player to be doing this bad..but that doesnt mean people should label him a drug user, bash him with no remorse...sometimes i think fans forget that the players are people not robots

Well when I have witnessed him smoking weed I can call him a drug user. Whether he still does I don't know but I can promise you he definitely used to.

I didn't say I was his mom or dad, that doesn't mean I haven't witnessed things, that's besides the point anyways.

I do realize its not that bad but if your a pot head and smoking an hour before the game that's explain a lot of his problems. He always looks stoned don't say he doesn't, whether he is or not i can't say, but he did used to smoke.
