Speculation on the dramatic decline in Cam Tatum's performance and how he has hurt this team this season. His production for the minutes he gets is shameful at this point in the season. It's difficult to pin losses directly on him but he is mostly nonexistent in the last 10-12 games. He obviously has talent as evidenced by past performances but this seems like more than just a slump. Does anyone else believe that his minutes should be shifted to someone else. I could almost see him being more effective coming off the bench in about 7th or 8th into the rotation.

I agree that he is disappointing. Dude drives me nuts. Both his FG% and 3pt % have dropped by about .090 this year. Also his worst season as far as turnovers.

His focus just seems to be gone. Evident in the sloppy ball handling angle turnovers.

not to mention non-existent defense. This kid can't hit an open three to save his life right now.

Agreed. He's a non factor. I forget he's even on our team sometimes, until he misses his next well defended 3.

Honestly I get more excited seeing Lil Pearl on the floor than Tatum right now. U know what u get with Pearl which is lights out defense and huge effort.

I really haven't seen anything from Tatum this year that justifies him being on scholarship. And he's one of a few guys you could say that about on this years team.

I'm starting to think Bone should be starting for Tatum, and we grind out wins in the 50s with suffocating defense.

If Tatum could play to his potential (which he has shown in spurts over the past couple of years), I firmly believe that we could be a top-15 team. Having only Hopson and Harris with no real #3 is killing us.

Tatum is terrible. He doesn't need to play another minute the rest of the season. Him, and Williams are just terrible. Williams is the worst defender in the history in college basketball in last possesion of game type play like today. Left his guy wide open to help out on a point guard who was out of control, falling down, and looking to pass, then to make matters worse, he fouls the guy while he is dunking it. Ugh, I'll be so glad when Williams is gone.

CT is pathetic and offers nothing except one bad shot after another. The ball handling skills on this team just blows my mind.If Hopson could handle the ball he would be unstopable.thats the only thing he really lacks.

You should watch the play again, because you have it all wrong. If you want somebody to blame, blame Goins. Bost spun off him at the 3 pt line, and Williams had no choice but to help since there was nobody between Bost and the hoop. The #1 rule of defense is stop the ball. If you watch it again, Bost only loses control because he was unaware of Williams' presence. He doesn't fall down until he runs into Williams. If Williams wasn't there it would have been an easy layup. Williams did what you are taught to do (except the foul which is a moot point either way, but it probably wasn't a foul).

I agree. The thing with the foul is that it really was a win-tie situation. The foul is a natural reaction in that situation. If the foul makes him miss then he has to make 2 fts to win. Even if he makes the dunk, he will then proceed to purposely miss to run more clock. You could argue that without a foul we have a chance to inbound but we could have anyway if pearl didn't call that idiotic timeout

I totally disagree with that.

Certainly not what I thought. If he doesn't move its a layup, at least this way he had a chance to make the dude travel or throw a bad pass.

I saw no fault of BW on the final bucket.

Why can we not offer conditional scholarships like Nick saban does? We could have dropped half this team wouldn't have to suffer through watching Tatum play so much and give so little.
