Tauren Poole

SO he's gonna be a RB then.. he'll have to redshirt and wait to get his PT! or when coker n Foster leave, he'll be splitting time with Creer! along with Vereen!
so idk, this guy must be confident to come to UT when he knows how deep our RB situation is! but i like to have him anyways!
IS he gonna get bumped up to a 4 star?

Sounds like he's having an awesome season. I could see him moving up but I think HV said it probably won't happen.

Just read this over at Volquest.

Stephens County running back Tauren Poole committed to Tennessee on October 26, 2006. Nearly a year later, the three-star running back may be having second thoughts, looking at South Carolina now.

I wonder what his decisions are?I'm not a subscriber to Volquest, anybody have any info?

Will this losing season make others change there mind and go elsewhere....

The author interviews his mother. She basically says anything can happen right now. Clemson could even come in and take him in, you never know. Nothing is set in stone with Poole right now. "Soft" at best. Depth and playing time is a concern for Poole, in fact that's his biggest concern. She noted that he could even R.S. (at UT, presumably) and afterwards he still could not receive playing time. It seems 50/50, S.C./UT

If his mom sees the whole Hardesty debacle, I think she'll notify her son. And that couldn't turn out really bad. We could even lose him because of that single incident. He has upcoming official visits to UT & USC and that will decide a lot. He plans to be a mid-term enrollee. My feel is that we lose Poole to S.C. very soon.

After reading the article, I really don't want Poole. It sounds like another Juicy Locke/Leak situation. She is already talking about the NFL and the kid is just a middle of the road type high school prospect. Too much baggage for this much trouble.

Rivals and scout are way off on their projections. I saw Tauren in person a few weeks ago when I visited my uncle that weekend. He could be a special player at the next level.

I agree with hvwarrior. Talking about his NFL career and the fact that he will be playing RB in the NFL. It was not a very flattering interview.

Wouldn't that help if Hardesty leaves since Poole is worried about PT?

Why would we want ANOTHER running back to come to Tennessee in this class anyway? To convert him to an average CB? That is all we could do with him. We can't play 6 guys at RB. Let him go somewhere else, and pick up another hogmollie.

We don't need him unless you want another egomaniac that won't be satisfied unless he has 20 carries a game.

Almost every great player is an egomaniac. Besides if he could be a great back I would take him, why not?

Hardesty was a highly rated recruit who didn't see the playing field after one of his best college performances to date. There's no way that's going to help us, especially since he won't be leaving the team.

Stories like that happen every year at almost every program.
At this level almost everyone was highly recruited.

Did Ontario Smith being kicked off the team keep anyone away?

HOLY Crap!
that new highlight reel was awesome

He looks like A hardest type runner, with Foster's agility..
SO basically, he looks like a Faster, harder running RB than Foster..
That's exactly what I've been waiting for..
The combination of Hardesty and Foster.. he actually mite be a little faster than Hardesty.. but its hard to tell, cuz it's just on High School level..

btw, if this guy is #29 in GA, i would should like to see who is in front of him..Why is he not ranked more highly? His highlight video is just....sick.

Straight line, shorts and t-shirt speed. That is the reason for his ranking. The rivals guru's dont think RB's can be any good unless they come to their combines and run a sub 4.5 40. In pads and on the football field, where it matters, he is a stud RB.

This is exactly correct. He has rushed for over 200, I think, every game this year.

no, only twice i believe...but he has had 1000 yards rushing every year. Whats the competition like he plays against? probably already asked that, but i forgot.
