Tayven came in for relief against Nebraska and looked really sharp.8-9 two TDs.

With the injury to the starter it looks like he takes over for the 13th ranked Hoosiers for at least a couple games starting with Washington with Michigan and Ohio State right around the corner.

He spent one season at Tennessee and really said wonderful things about his experience- seems like a great kid and I hope he is successful.

College gameday is coming to Bloomington this Saturday for the IU-Washington game. Although I think it’s crazy they are overlooking the matchup of the two top teams in the SEC between LSU and A&M, I would love to see former Vol Jackson show out on a national stage. He is a great kid who saw the writing on the wall with Nico coming to town, and has had nothing but good things to say about his time at Tennessee. Wish him all the luck this weekend.

If he had stayed, he prob would have won the job outright.

Lol damn. I don't think you understand the talent level of OUR QB. I wish Tayven the best of luck but he was never starting over Nico. Complain about the overthrown passes or the speed at which he is processing the game sure that is fair. Nico is going to be special before his time is up. Just needs PT. Once it slows down for him you all are going to look really stupid.

Indiana and Tennessee play each other in a men's exhibition basketball game at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Thompson Boling Arena.

I challenge you to find a single post in this entire website where I've ever dissed Nico. And proposing that if Jackson stayed he might be starting is not a diss on Nico. Good chance alot of ya'll were Milton haters though.

GameDay is in Indiana because Big 10 country gets irratated that even though the best football overall is in the SEC, they spend too much time down here. It's a pity visit, kinda like when they do their one FCS game a year.

True. Just glad it’s not OSU or Michigan for once.

We have had many good QB’s sign to the Vols who never got onto the field. Michael Penix Jr. and Tayven Jackson are the most recent in my memory.

It will be a shame if we can’t get the offense going again so that our backups may get the chance to play in some games before their eligibility expires.

Former Vol QB Tayven Jackson gets his first start of the season today due to Kurtis Rourke being injured. The former Vol is very talented and he saw the writing on the wall in Knoxville. He was simply in a position where he was never going to get his shot here, so he went home. He really wanted to be a Vol, but sometimes things simply don't work out. Indiana is having an incredible season after being a perennial dumpster fire. I wish him nothing but the best and great success.

Honestly, I like when GameDay goes to these campuses that are not visited often. They have visited LSU a lot and I do think LSU and A&M maybe more a product of their schedule than actually being good and both could fall off in the coming weeks with their schedules getting harder.
