TCU Likely Headed to Big XII

If Notre Dame went to the ACC, they can kiss most of their rivalries goodbye. They'd have Boston College but what about all of the Big 10/Pac 12 schools they play?

Doesn't make sense to add Air Force...They are located in Colorado...That's some serious traveling to away games

Big East don't care.

But Air Force wouldn't leave MWC for Big East imo. Even if Louisville, West Virginia and Uconn stay in the Big East, MWC is probably a better football conference anyways. They either need to eliminate the Big East's AQ status or give it to MWC.

That, or the Big East can just go back to its original form, a basketball only conference.

Notre Dame will never join the ACC :eek:lol: Or any other conference for that matter...They would lose millions and would not be willing to share those millions with other ACC teams.

"join" in the sense of "house their other athletic team's there"

The football team's the only thing that's independent; the rest of their teams are members of the big east

Were the big east to fail, they'd have to find another conference to place those...i.e. Join another conference

And the big 10 would likely try to make them give up/share their network deal, even if they were just adding their non-football schools (as would most likely be the case with any such move)

Yeah I forgot AF was in the MWC; I'd say they are probably happy there and given what's going on, the MWC has a good shot at taking the BE's BCS spot.

I find it funny Memphis is still not being mentioned for the Big East, at least I haven't heard.

Your first mistake was going to Waco. Your second was attending a Baylor basketball game.

True, true. Only went there with my KU inlaws. Baylor was so hyped and KU beat them by 30 I think. Let's just say that will be my only trip to Waco...

My brother in-law is an Aggie though and I can't wait to go and see the Vols at Kyle Field.

Rick Pitino (of all people) is about the only non-Memphis person to have even brought up the Tigers joining the Big East. But at this point, with no TCU, Syracuse, or Pitt - and Rutgers, UConn, WVU, and Louisville looking for the exit - is the Big East any better than Conference USA?
