Wait a second, I thought Cooper's announcement was going to be aired on her TV show. I wonder why the change of plans.

That was the original plan, but they decided to go ahead and announce because it wouldn't be kept quiet until the show aired.

Maya Moore will be a LV...... I am feeling it!!!!!

If UConn wants Cooper, then they will get her!!! If they don't really want her, they may half heartedly pursue her, just to keep us from getting her....

She will either end up at UConn or South Carolina.

Geno and UConn wanted A'ja Wilson, and they didn't just half-heartedly pursue her either, but actively went after her right down to the end. And for a position of need for UConn, too...

It's not that engraved in granite, with UConn...

Cooper isn't considering UConn. So I'm not sure what in the same hell is up with this post.

I guess I will be the only one to go out on limb on a hunch and say UGA. They may not have been very good this last year, but they have some good players and more will follow after a TC and DD commitment.

I don't recall UConn ever been in the mix and neither did i ever hear of her been recruited by them. if both her and Deshields are indeed going to the same school then it will be Tennessee or South Carolina or else they surprise us all and go elsewhere.

That should be a red flag. No way GA will not be in on the best. The fact is that Geno doesn't waste time with emotional girls. I've heard Pat and Holly (both in person) speak to the differences in the women's game and how emotional girls are. And I mean to say they both STRONGLY emphasized this point. It's no wonder Geno has surpassed her, and HW is struggling. Geno doesn't waste time recruiting girls who need to be emotionally kid gloved, regardless of their talent level. He goes after tough minded bball players who happen to be female.

Your idea that Geno only recruits tough-minded women is nonsense. He recruits talented kids--top prospects--and THEN makes them tough because he's a tough coach.

Roustabout Have you ever written the same thing about great football coaches and the reason they only recruit tough characters who don't whine or transfer when they don't play?

There is a TV add for a frozen dinner - a dinner so great that the 13 year old female (daughter) put down her phone to eat it. Needless to say her "weak" father hadn't previously demanded that at dinner she couldn't bring her phone to the table. What she needs is a tough dad! If only she had had to run 10 suicides she would have learned the lesson.

I hope she does go to UGA, if not TN. would love to see Andy get a ring before retiring. He is a great coach.

He actually recruited Deshields when she was a high school senior in every way he knew how. He wasn't in the mix then and he isn't in it now. He recruits all the top players regardless of whether they are high strung or not. The reason he has won so much is because he gets number 1, 2 through top 10 players. He seldom signs anyone that is ranked lower than ten in a class. This is why he wins. If you want to see him lose let him coach talent like Villanova or Seton Hall. Winning is all about getting top players and right now he is getting most of them. The reason he doesn't lose much is because his roster is loaded.

Obviously my point is that neither Cooper or UConn had interest in each other so therefore there were never in the mix and that's that. no need for you to try to take shots at CPS in your attempt to glorify Geno when she has nothing to do with this.

Landers hasn't fielded a legitimate national title contender in well over a decade. He's never getting a ring. UGA's most recent Final Four was 15 years ago.

All the top players leave Georgia. If he had gotten half of them he would have several rings. He couldn't get DeShields, Maya Moore, Davis, and looks like Durr is gone as well. The state of Georgia produces the talent he just can't recruit them.

I'm a Gamecock fan, so I know my opinion doesn't hold much water in the Grand scheme of things concerning WBB. However, the formula that Geno has used for success is similar to Alabama in football. When you consistently get Top talent in any sport(besides maybe PRO football), because there are two many variables, you are bound to be successful. Talent more often than not TRUMPS coaching. As we speak the Miami Heat are appearing in their fourth straight NBA Finals. Surely, that is not because Spolestra is the Head coach.

Cooper is the only player committing Thursday. DeShields will not be committing that day. It will be Tennessee or South Carolina. Georgia is not in the running they never are. If she wanted to stay home probably would be Georgia Tech ahead of Georgia.

I know people that think just about any coach couldn't take what he has been getting and win some titles isn't thinking clearly. The fact that he can get the talent is his big talent. He seems to get players you wouldn't think would go there. I was really surprised that Samuelson went there expected Stanford. He can recruit just like Bama can recruit that is 80 percent of the battle.

We all know about his recruiting...MAYA MOORE...
Not first one he recruited that way. Probably not the last.
