Averaging 27.3 ppg 7.3 assists shooting 42 percent from the three point line 47 of 112 and 52 percent overall. Hitting 80 percent of her free throws and averaging 4 steals a game in first 19 games this season.
Look forward to her being a Lady Vol Next season.

I can see Te'a, Diamond, and Andrea making us the steal leaders in the nation.

Also no one is talking much about Jamesha Jackson. I remember no one really talked much about Izzy when she came in as Freshman and she's considered our best player this year and last year.

Jackson is the ultimate unselfish player. She doesn't take a lot of shots per game very good rebounder, assists players, and steals. I saw some stats on her a couple weeks back she was hitting 33 percent from the three and 41 percent overall. She makes every player on the floor better with her great floor game. I think she is another defensive stopper. I expect our perimeter defense next season could be the best it has been in years. All of Cooper, Jackson, Diamond and Andrea are players that can really defend. I expect to see Diamond take on the best perimeter player on the opposing team. That should be a great game with Notre Dame next season.

Yes, I like Jackson's game watched her play on the AAU circuit. Vol Nation will love her reminds me of Alexis Hornbuckle. A very good hustle player indeed.

But will Holly allow Te'a any playing time next year? Holly seems to have a limit on how long some freshmen get playing time. Freshmen play but not for very long in games.

We will have three PGs next year--Cooper, Reynolds and Middleton. One of them is not going to get much playing time.

RE Jackson, sounds like a good athlete and defender, but is yet another player who doesn't sound like a scorer. We need another scorer. I have a feeling we'll see UT players next year standing around a lot and watching DeShields go one on one, with two defenders draped on her.

I have that feeling too.

From what I've seen Meme's good getting to the basket. IMO Middleton would be better as a two guard for us. Leave the pg duty to Jordan and Te'a. Have Alexa/Draya/Meme handle the two and Diamond and Jannah play the three. Bash/Kortney/Jamie the four and Mercedes/Nia/Jas the five.

Te'a, Diamond and Draya play pickup games all the time in Atlanta together so they should have good chemistry.

We don't need to forget Jannah Tucker, she is a real player and shooter also. Te'a will give us some speed at the point that we have not had in a very long time, Holly will love how Te'a pushes the ball down court and will get a lot of playing time and Diamond runs like a Cheetah also, with Andraya Carter on the court with them Tennessee can run with anybody. The future looks very bright for Tennessee Lady Vols.:machgun:

If holly doesn't start tea cooper from day one, regardless of whether she's a freshman or not, that would be one monumental coaching blunder. Tea is that good...I won't hold my breathe though bc according to holly, its a process and no matter how good they are, they still have to wait in line behind the upperclassmen for playing time. I think holly is doing a fine job as coach, but that philosophy is one thing I vehemently disagree with

I don't think that's her philosophy. I don't think any of the Freshmen should start this year either. Graves started as a Freshman.

I think it's safe to say that diamond, Mercedes (if healthy) and graves will be the starters next season for sure and after that it's anybody's guess. I'm just glad we got diamond and tea to go along with her..just think, three number one recruits coming out of high school on the same team...I don't even think uconn can say that. Just to note d1spects has tea ranked number one overall prospect while full court had diamond the num 1 and hoopgurlz had Mercedes as the num 1.

I've seen Jackson several times and agree with this. She projects as a role player who will have a tough time cracking the rotation her first year....

Let's hope she gets back completely healthy.

Why don't we pump the brakes on Cooper a bit? I haven't seen a point guard come into the program with this much hype since.... Ariel Massengale.

Well let's remember who started the hype...CPS..I think folks had a reason to be optimistic about her potential if our hall of fame coach was already projecting her a starting spot as a freshman. However, you may be right..I had my hopes way way up for Middleton, Dunbar and especially Nared before the season started and admittedly I had to come off that great big cloud.

RE Jackson, sounds like a good athlete and defender, but is yet another player who doesn't sound like a scorer.

Assuming these stats are correct, Jackson's averaging just 8.6 points per game. She's apparently launched more 3-point shots than 2-pointers despite a 33% accuracy rate behind the arc, and while she hasn't had a lot of FT attempts it looks like she's struggled with those as well.

Very encouraging, though, to see the numbers Cooper's been putting up!
