Tea Party backers are wealthier and more educated

i'll be the first to admit the job situation hasn't improved... But i don't think it's been enough time... But lower taxes should always create jobs, at least according to this thread. yet, under bush it didn't. went the complete opposite. the wealthy got too much power and the little man feels the pinch.

there were a couple of times during the Bush administration that unemployment dropped below 5%. I'm not going to excuse his excessive spending, but do you honestly think that what Obama is doing is going to help?

Are you saying that fair is when everyone is equal?

This is such a shallow argument. No wonder it is the most frequently repeated one.
The only thing shallow is the fact you have no answer for it other than the teapartiers are more about party and less about policy otherwise they would have been raising hell back during GW's term or even back further in the 80's when their beloved Reagan was tripling the debt in 8 years but no they would rather worship Reagans corpse than to say anything negative about him.

so that makes the spending right and the tea party ideas wrong? Amazing logic

the left has perfected the art of using "well, the other guy did it" as justification for anything they do.
And the teapartiers would still be celebrating the election if an (r) had won no matter how much they were spending as evidenced by the fact they didn't exist while republican administrations were tripling and doubling the debt themselves.TRUTH HURTS.

I don't think a leftist would know the truth if it smacked them across the mouth.

you won't find a conservative on this board who was enamored of the spending that went on during the Bush years. Equally impossible to find is a lefty on this board who is critical of Obama's reckless spending/debt/deficit.

I didn't say that but it does make them hypocrites there is no other way around it.

What are you griping about then?
The blatant hypocrisy that exists in the TP movement it's mind boggling they are raising hell about spending and carrying signs with Reagan on them at the same time.Actually it would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

Actually yes there were recessions in the early 80's and 90's and that is when the government should be spending since the people are not in a position to do so something has to jerk the economy into motion.

Look truth is i don't agree with all the spending that goes on but the hypocrisy from the right kills me hell just the other day there was a story how Thad cochran was the biggest pork spender on capitol hill and he's a southern republican come on now what the hell.

the TP, here in ATL yesterday, had just as many people from the left as the right

Well then i don't buy their story.

maybe the radio guy, that I was listening to, was being dooped by the TPers, but the ones he asked were right at 50/50....
either way, the TP hurts the R's chances in November
