6'7" Teaira McCowan from Texas commits to Cincinnati. The Vols could have used another big like her. Are there any more bigs who are uncommitted?

No worry. If she had played at Tennessee, she would have never gotten a foul call go her way while playing in the post wearing Lady Vol orange. In fact, she would have been consistently battered to he!! until she finally had to be carried off the floor!

Did any of the top five teams, including Tennessee, really recruit her? I can't see her choosing Cincinnati over the likes of Tennessee. With UCONN in the same league, she will never play with the lead dog. Cincinnati has a very bad team in the AAC, they are 7-19. I just Can't see a 6' 7" five star going to a crap program. They do have 3 3 stars among their 2015 recruits. Right now Teaira is only a verbal, so until she is signed, there is a chance she might go elsewhere.

It's really bad when the LadyVols are rejected in favor of Cincinnati. I have to wonder about Holly as a recruiter.

Thanks Special Ed for a very good statement. Rumor has it that McCowan is not the sharpest tool in the shed. That may have affected how hard she was recruited by Tennessee and other top schools. No one, including Holly, is such a bad recruiter that a five star player chooses a crapy program over a top ten program. It is not like Cincinnati has a top ten recruiting program coming in. Why would any intelligent five star choose a program that can't win in a crapy conference? Doesn't sound like a great decision maker.:loco:

Don't start a thread with "TK Name Commits" when they have not committed to UT. That's idiotic---very bad form.

I don't know how many more times this needs to be said, but I will say it again. She was never recruited by Tennessee, either before or after signing day. She didn't choose them over Tennessee, or UConn, or Baylor, or Notre Dame, etc.

She signed with Cincinnati, a horrible team in the horrible AAC. That goes to show you how little she was recruited by the "big" schools. There is a reason Tennessee didn't recruit her.

It takes more than height to be recruited by a top ten school. No one goes to a BS program unless that is the only choice.

Raider, it doesn't matter how many times you say it, if facts get in the way, discard facts and keep on complaining. You take all the fun out of negativity with your darn facts and intelligence. Can't you go crawl under a rock, get mad, complain about the whole world, and try to make everyone as miserable as you? Sheeesh! You are such a pain.

Tennessee was not interested in McCowan. At all. She was never offered, never recruited. There's a reason why she was uncommitted this long.
