Baylor got both the highly rated posts that we were recruiting in the early signing period.

There's something more to the story than this. With WBB being allotted 15 total 'ships, you would think some Top 10 program would make room for a player of her potential. Brenham is only 30 minutes from College Station and yet Gary Blair passed on her. 6'7" 5*'s don't come along too often, something's up or down (grades).

If a weak AAC school is her choice, then why not the short one hour drive east on US 290 to Cougar High...City of Houston 1,000,000X > Cincy (don't forget the beaches at Galveston). A 90 min drive west on 290 and she could be at an up and coming program in Austin...6th street and Hill Country>Cincy, also.

So even if she can make the grades, something just ain't clicking right between the ears.

It takes more than height to be recruited by a top ten school. No one goes to a BS program unless that is the only choice.

You may be right about her limited choices. After reading recent updates on the home board, baylorfans.com, her recruitment may have been slimier than just grades. McGowan played her first two years for former Mulkey Grad Asst and Waco naitive Chante Crutchfield, now head WBB coach at Crowley HS. She may have informed Mulkey of some of the crap going on with McCowen. See posts 6-8:

Yes, #49, several at her position were better, we should't be wow'd by the 6'7" height....

Hope she improves the Bearcats..... they really need help there.

Read a couple message boards around WCB, the consensus seems to be, if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's a duck. And in this case, this duck has bird flu.

I live in Indianapolis, and Cincinnati is a place I would never recommend anybody to live, yet alone go to school their for a couple years. If your moving that far, why not choose OSU? Louisville/Kentucky are both less than an hour from there ... If we ever play Cincinnati, make sure we have our girls gowned up with gloves and a mask.
