Robinson is out, but they get back Carr and most likely Butler.Kentucky fans finding out they will be without Jaxson Robinson in our rematch knowing that he was 4/9 from 3 with 17 points in the first go around

Everytime one of these SEC teams find out they are missing a star player or players they go out and play their best game of the year. This probably worries me more than it does them.Kentucky fans finding out they will be without Jaxson Robinson in our rematch knowing that he was 4/9 from 3 with 17 points in the first go around

Still rather have that guy out than available.Everytime one of these SEC teams find out they are missing a star player or players they go out and play their best game of the year. This probably worries me more than it does them.
Oh, I absolutely agree, there. Robinson is probably their 2nd best shooter. I'm just adding some perspective that they are losing his 13 ppg, but adding back Butler and Carr's 23 ppg which they didn't have when they beat us in Knoxville.Robinson worries me much more than Carr.
Of course with that said, I now expect Carr to go off for 30 points. I apologize in advance.
I have noticed this, as well.Everytime one of these SEC teams find out they are missing a star player or players they go out and play their best game of the year. This probably worries me more than it does them.
Correlation doesn't imply causation.I have noticed this, as well.
ZZ and Igor out vs Florida.
Alijah Martin out for UF vs Auburn.
Andrew Carr and Lamont Butler out for UK vs us.
Arkansas is 3-2 with Boogie Fland out, and won their first SEC game against UGA in their first game without him.
What are you talking about? We NEVER have absolute declarations!Absolute declarations and basketball just don’t mix. We have a bunch of them on messsge boards these days.
That being said, I do think Barnes had his best coaching performance at Tennessee against Florida yesterday. I personally think Florida is built to do well in the postseason. Whether they do or not is an all together different thing.
I wonder if that takes into account that a lot of guys wearing low tops are also wearing ankle support/braces underneath their socks. I had to wear high tops but then switched to the mids laterOddly the science says there are the same or fewer ankle injuries with low tops. I’d feel naked in them, but apparently it’s true.
Me too ... I want to see the research, the initial parameters, how they selected test subjects, how many test subjects were in the study, the pesky assumptions, and those troublesome limitations.Hmm, I believe what you are saying but I would be curious to see how they measured that scientifically.

Call me a skeptic if you like ... I prefer analytic. I need to see the data with my own eyes.
I am not calling out SF or the research he was referring to ... I am having visions of all the research I reviewed back in my college days ... and how researchers are structuring models to prove what they already believe is true.
I might even be convinced that superior athlete's suffer less injuries in low tops. But I know how easy it is to turn my ankle these days, And back when I was much younger ... a compound fracture of my ankle ... is what makes me doubt the data. :^)
With a Bunsen burner. How about this: Google “high tops vs low tops in relation to ankle injuries” and read the NIH study.Hmm, I believe what you are saying but I would be curious to see how they measured that scientifically.
You definitely have to watch out for the low top lobby. They’re worse than Monsanto.Me too ... I want to see the research, the initial parameters, how they selected test subjects, how many test subjects were in the study, the pesky assumptions, and those troublesome limitations.

From what I read there really isn't any correlation between High tops and Low tops as far as ankle injuries. This may have something to do with players being more prong to injury taping their ankle. I didn't see anything that breaks it down in regards to taping, tho. Those sort of informative studies need creative funding for the next 4 years![]()
