Tebow and the League

Tebow is no where as nearly accurate as Brady is throwing the ball.

That's possible I didn't really pay that much attention to Brady in college. But I have seen plenty of fantastic throws by Tebow on target, in stride, and down the field. They can't all be flukes.

I could be wrong, who the heck am I? Just a football fan. Just looking at some of the QB's in pro football today I would take him over at least 75% of them.

Tebow will be a NFL QB. Someone will pick him up as a QB. Everyone saying TE has lost their minds. He would make a better MLB than TE. I was on the fence about him at first until I started to watch more FL games this year. The kid has what it takes. Yeah his motion is off. Off or not he completes passes. If he leaves early this year the Lions pick him up and he will be the starting QB next year.

Mel Kiffer (Spelling?) was just on ESPN with some other guy.. They said he would lucky to be a 2nd round (most likleya 3rd round) draft pick and he would be drafted as a tight end or possible H-back... I'm not sure how they came up with that, but it is what they said.. Mel indicated that he wouldn't be drafted as a quarter back.. The other guy said he may be drafted as one, but it would be in a latter round as a long term project quaterback..He also said that he would most likley be the 3rd stringer if he did get drafted as a QB

3rd round at best. Tebow is not a NFL QB. Someone will pick him up to see if he can run the Wildcat package for about 10 plays a game. He will end up being a missionary or spokes person for some Christian Organization.

you would lose a lot. You're essentially saying that only 8 pro QBs are better than Tebow.

It is obviously not happened yet, so there's still speculation. BUT they are talking about hiring within and going with either Billy Gonzalez (WR's coach) or Steve Addazio (O-Line Coach) as offense coordinators or co-offensive coordinators. Gonzalez does most of the play calling in the red zone, so he is the likely candidate. We'll see. Maybe Dave Clawson?:)

PLEASE hire Dave Clawson!!!

Tebow cant make NFL passes. His passing accuracy or lack thereof cost the Ole Miss game. He overthrew wide open recievers 3 times on the last drive.

Tebow can make the throws, but he does it slowly and inconsistently. He appears to have a strong arm.

I think Gonzalez would be a good fit. Any word on whether or not Mullen is going to coach the NC game?
The word is that the AD from Miss. State said he could coach the BCS game. However, it is unclear whether or not CUM will decide to go that route.

I thought Tebow would never be a successful QB in the SEC? He only proved you and everyone else wrong. What is keeping him from doing it again?

He's is the perfect offensive system for his talents in Florida. He won't be in the NFL. The set of things that he will be asked to do as a pro is radically different than what he's been doing in college.

I say this as a Falcons fan who spent several years trying to convince myself that an NFL team could win with Michael Vick as the QB. Vick and Tebow obviously have radically different talents, but I think the general principle still applies: to win consistently in the NFL, at some point a QB has to be able drop back, read defenses, and deliver the ball to the right receiver. Tebow hasn't had to do that in college. Success in the NFL isn't just a matter of him moving up to the next level; he's going to have to learn an entirely new skill set.
