Did the original have an NFL license? Might not be able to get away with the similarities now, but I was thinking the original was just city names and 'generic' player names.

The original had the NFLPA license, but not the NFL license. So they could use real players, but not real teams.

The first one also only had like 12 "city only named" teams.

I played the trial last night just to see what things are there that are locked.

I am 75% convinced I will buy it even though you can easily emulate this game for free, or even buy an NES with every Tecmo Bowl title for $9.99 probably. But buying it to have it easily accessible on the 360 is pretty neat.

I thought the new graphics were just kinda pointless as the game does play the exact same way and you can switch between 3D and 2D graphics with the right trigger on the fly. But it was kinda cool I guess to see a fresh look. I would find it kinda fun to do some editing and do maybe some All-Star type teams across the ages, though.

I honestly hope they sequel this where you can do career stuff with it.
