Tee and dead period

Good luck to Tee and I wish him the best in TN or LA. Still smile thinking about the bomb to Price in the championship game all those years ago. Thanks, Tee!

FWIW, I would not disown Tee, but I would definitely be a little disgruntled with how he handled things. After him being offered, visiting, etc and it being highly publicized and talked about, if he turns us down now it would not look good on the program in the eyes of the media and the recruits. It could have some pretty serious side effects.. a behind-the-scenes 'No,' back when he was originally offered on Saturday, would have been much better for CBJ and co. Hopefully he says yes, otherwise he punched us square in the gut... either by trying to use us for a raise, or indirectly having an adverse effect on impressions that up-and-comers are going to have of us.

Why will Kiffin be fired? bet he isn't..........

Shew idk man he's under a lot of pressure. A lot of USC fans want his head right now. If you are going to be an irogrant prick who breaks the rules you better win doing it. Kiffin is a guy you make a deal with because you don't want to compete against him and then he turns around and makes the same deal with your competitors. He is a complete back stabbing POS. It's sad too because he's got a brilliant offensive minded head on his shoulders, but lacks the common knowledge of how to be a true professional.

Not going to start a new thread, but Tee may be unhappy in sunny California?
"It would be no surprise if Martin went to Tennessee but sources who wished to remain anonymous said he also had some issues at USC. He was unhappy last week because he was not allowed to attend a college football awards show in Orlando, Fla., where USC wide receiver Marquise Lee won the Biletnikoff Award. And he was believed to be less-than-thrilled with the repetitive nature of some of his duties at USC".

A little late.. TN Sports Radio* reporting that Tee declined the offer just recently.

Oh well, press on. GBO!

First, let me say that I bleed orange!
I would love to see Tee come back to Tennessee.
Honestly just don't see it happening for the many reasons mentioned in other threads.
My questions are...
1. How long is this recruiting "dead period"?
2. Would shady Lame keep Tee from making his decision until after dead period starts, (not sure how he could keep him from doing that) so that he could, maybe change some minds of current commitments, hint, hint, you all know who I'm talking about.
3. Also, lets say Tee politely declines the offer. How does volnation respond toTee staying out west with Lame.VFL?
I'll hang up and listen to your comments.

I seldom have what you might call a "Gut Feeling" but when I do have them, I am always correct.

Tee Martin will not be on the U.T. coaching staff in 2013.

His wife is an up and coming singer and I doudt she would want to move to Knoxville, Tennesse or to most any place in America, other than New York, Los Angeles or Miami.

For him to have a long-distance marriage is not a solution either, so I doudt he will work in Knoxville and her in Los Angeles.

My advice is for us to not get our hopes up on Tee being on the staff in 2013.....

His wife had a hit in 2001. Not exactly an up and comer

I understand your being disgruntled, however, we don't know have all the information. I will respect Tee for giving this offer consideration; for bringing his family with him to visit Knoxville and for taking his time to make a decision that is right for him at this time. I think if any of us were in the same position, we would do the same.
I would love to see Tee back in Knoxville. I think he would be a wonderful coach and great recruiter, but I couldn't blame him or be upset with him if he decides that USC is a better fit for him right now.

Why will Kiffin be fired? bet he isn't..........

Bet he is....within 2 yrs......this years cheating.....the NCAA INvesigation winding down...not the Ads hire.....he wastes talent....and can't coach.....shady character....no morals....not good...AD is not going to put up with this....plus the firing of dad is the initial indicator the wheels are off.....Tee probably told he would be retained by USC if Kiffin fired.....
