I don't use ESPN alone. 247 composite makes the most sense at least to me. As of now, Higgins is the only 5*. If fans should have learned one thing from last years class its counting "bumps" from 3*-4* before they happen often doesn't pan out.

Smith, Higgins and Gibbs are 5* locks.
I didn't say all 3* would go to 4.
We'll also grab 3-4 4*s.
That's top 5 again.

Nobody is a lock or should be ruled out. Butch has done his job and whatever he could possibly do to get these kids. Selling the dream is done. It's going to depend on how we play. I guarantee you that Stevens and Akers will both be in play if we win 11+ games.

Just have to play the season out.

Would you bet against it? I think it's more likely than not that Tenn ends up with those three.

Yeah, definitely would go with the under, safe bet especially with Smith. He can't find the time to even visit Kville but can visit OM 3x in the last two months? All I can say is OM pays well for kids to visit their campus.

No clue on what Higgins is thinking. Callahan said today he was CU going into the visit and now it's closer. A chance he is a vol, but at best 60/40. Far from a lock or anyone with a brain to hinge their bet. ESPECIALLY with CU basically getting the last visit in July if indeed he does commit before his Sr year. They are not to be trusted. They are Auburn with a lake.

Gibbs, Jamyest Williams answered last week on who was recruiting him the hardest to Georgia, he answered Dixon and DLo (Gibbs). Still think Gibbs is a Vol but he does spend a lot of time in Athens. In his words "I go over there all the time to hang out". He really likes downtown Athens, but every Male with a pulse likes "downtown Athens". Biggest chance of the 3 that he is a Vol. Family reels him in IMO, 90/10 chance, but an isolated storm sometimes pops up at 10%.

Now, would you bet on ALL 3 of these being a lock?

I don't use words like "lock" for teenagers but your slant here is definitely anti-Tennessee. "Every male with a pulse likes downtown Athens, huh? Like a town of 120,000 people is Vegas blvd or something? Give me a break and of the three, I will take the kid from Oak Ridge as the most likely to sign with Tenn... Also, it should not be a surprise considering proximity that Smith has visited Ole Miss more than Tenn - to this point. I will take Butch's track record with in-state kids and the word of Thigpen (who has said that Tenn will end up with everyone they want from in-state except Stevens)

It is more likely than not that Tenn signs all 3... but we'll see.

Where did Callahan say that about Higgins and Clemson?

Edit: Just saw your post in TH thread. Thanks.

Ok, then he's afraid of competition?

Uh, No. Isn't there competition at UGA, FSU, LSU or wherever else he may choose? As much as I love seeing instate kids get to be Vols, I also know leaving the state is just what some want to do. Its the same with a lot of other star players in every state.
