Just kidding.

UF has yet to see the speed of UT. UT is still a huge ? mark after the near-UAB debacle. Tough to predict.

very tough to predict. Its not like WE got to play La Tech. hah just kidding with yeah man and wish your team and Our team the best of luck and for both of us to have a good clean injury free game. The last thing I want is for chris leak get hurt and then everyone say we only won cause he wasn't in. I hate it when that happens. Good luck to ya lawgator1

Back atcha Vols 2345. I tell you, I just don't know what to make of this game. It is so early in the year, we have a new coach and a new offensive scheme and you have a QB dispute (won't call it a controversy, yet) and some unease after a much closer than expected UAB game. Our wins have been impressive, but La. Tech is obviously not in our league and Wyoming is just not SEC-caliber, either.

So hard to predict this year.

Yeah it seems that in the past the game has been easier to predict but we just don't know how good Florida's offense is going to run. We don't know If Tennesse's play was a fluke aginst UAB or not. I say it will come down to special teams and proably come down to whoever controls field postion.

Whoever runs the ball the best and has the fewest turnovers wins this one, run it down their gator throats and keep Leak on his back or running for his life!

A conservative gameplan: Running game, taking care of the football and a sound defense.

I dont care if its 3-0. A UT win is a UT win over FLORIDA

Well, I think it's just how UT plays. It bugs the crap out of me, but Fulmer's teams seem to never ever blow games wide open. We could be playing against UT-Chattanooga and still win by less than two TD's. But we can also walk into the house of any of the nation's top teams and put up a good fight.

We do blow out teams and have large margins of victory.

Here are a few from the last several years with a 24 point MOV or larger.

03-04
Miss St. 59-21
Vandy 48-0

02-03
Wyoming 47-7
Vandy 24-0
UK 24-0

01-02
Syracuse 33-9
Vandy 38-0

Key to the game- is to keep UF's offense off the field

1. TOP is first priority
2. Turnovers - we must have turnovers/not give the ball away
3. Play like we know we can!!!!!

 Vols need to establish the rushing game and defending the pass. If the Vols can hold the Gators under 20 we may have a better chance winning. If the Gators score more than 24 it could be tough.

UF hired Chris Leaks sister(CJ) in effort to gain an advantage from the sidelines.

Did the Myth really believe UT wouldnt change the checks and signals?

Silly coach, The SEC is for big boys.......... :aggressive:

Establish advantage up front and run the ball effectively (the aforementioned 40+ carries for Riggs and 250+ yards are, obviously, a bit far-fetched. I'm talking 4-5 YPC, 100+ yards).

Disrupt an unsure offensive scheme and an unsteady quarterback.

Take advantage of turnover opportunities.

STAY HOME on defense and don't give up the big play.

And, the obvious. . . .CATCH THE DAMN BALL!!!!

1. QUICK START ex.... UT 14 / FLA 7
2. TURNOVERS
3. RUNNING GAME
4. LET CLAUSEN TAKE SOME CHANCES EARLY BY LETTING HE THROW THE BALL DOWN FIELD AND ACROSS THE MIDDLE. SPREAD THE FIELD OUT.
5. AVOID GIVING UP THE BIG PLAY.

HERE'S A QUESTION? ODDS THAT SANDERS WILL RUN THE BALL UP THE MIDDLE ON THE FIRST PLAY FROM SCRIMMAGE 50-1??? Can you say 2nd and 10.

I hope you are right but, in my humble opinion, there is no way that Riggs will get 40 carries. First of all, Fulmer and Sanders have a religious conviction to running a balanced offense. They typically mix the run and pass plays about evenly and typically an offense gets only 70-75 plays during a game. A balanced offense is a sound plan against any team. It keeps the opponent's defense guessing as to what will hit them next. With an effective balanced offense, the opponents can't put 8-9 defenders in the box. they have to be prepared for whatever comes and if they fill up the box play after play to stop the run, it will be Katy BAR THE DOOR for our WRs.

For us to run the ball 40 times, we will have to completely dominate the first half to such an extent that Fulmer just decides to run out the clock during the 3rd and 4th quarter. I think we can and will beat the MASTERGAITERS but, I don't expect us to blow them out in the 1st half. I expect Yourbane's MUD LIZARDS to be in a very close game going into the last % minutes of the THIRD QUARTER> WHEN IT BECOMES THE VOLS GAME>
Granted, a continuous ponding by the running game will wear them down going through the 3rd quarter but I will be very surprised if all of our running backs get 40 carries.

GO BIG ORANGE STOMP THE MUD LIZARDS IN THE CESSPOOL

:td: :number1: :3cheers:

Uh,the simple solution is to score more points than Florida.

Another way to do it is for our defense to hold them to less points than we score. :td: :td: :td: :td: :td:
