Tenn St Player Punches Coach On Sideline

Why? What will that do for you?

I probably worded that badly.

It will do nothing for me; but the guy is in trouble and could be looking for any kind of excuse to make him look more sympathetic and try to justify his actions.

Very much in the same way Joe Mixon accused the girl he punched of using a racial slur and tried to use that as justification for his actions.

I appreciate the clarification. Thank you for taking the time to do that.

My comment was actually more tongue in check rather than I was throwing out the typical "Oh he'll play the race card" type response. I probably should have clarified.

What Joe Mixon did was absolutely unacceptable. I am curious to find out more about what happened between that player and the coach. The player deserves whatever happens to him, but I just can’t understand why he would steal off on the coach like that. Regardless, I hope he learns from this, serves whatever punishment he gets and then finishes his degree.

I also hope the coach is okay and is able to have a successful coaching career.
