Tenn vs. Temple

So what do U think, we go after Coach K,or Williams after our basketball teams collapse today. Lets just make some other absurd and totally ridiculous remarks.

I think some of these morons forgot how bad UT basketball has been in the past. Bruce and the vols will be fine. Look at how many freshman we have playing. People get spoiled after a couple amazing years and think we are a top 5 basketball program. Sorry we are not there yet.

Bruce said earlier this week we weren't a top 10 team. I guess it's silly to hope that the person who knows his team better than anyone was being overly negative.

You're right. Our track record proves this - we should be winning the NC atleast a few times a decade. Its an embarrassment to the tradition of our basketball program and all the previous coaches and Vols who have suited up to play round ball.

You have an inflated idea of basketball tradition. A few Sweet 16s and no E8, no FF. Heck, Vandy has been to 4 Sweet 16s and 1 E8. By your standards, they must be a juggernaut.

You have a complete inability to recognize sarcasm.

If a 16 point loss to a solid non conference team on the road in December should cost coach his job then I don't think you are going to find any one that is going to come in here and do it better. man, tough crowd this morning, somebody get that guy laid!

Wouldn't call Temple a "solid" non-conference team. Think they were a little short handed with injuries. This happens when you are dealing with teenagers. They don't get up all the time.

Anyone who thinks this loss should cost BP his job is a raving lunatic. Who would you get beter? Who would actually come to K-ville after a coach that has resurrected a program gets run off? UT ain't Duke, Carolina, Kentucky, or even Memphis for that matter. You have the best coach you are going to get.

Lol, you included Memphis in the same sentence as Carolina, Kentucky, and Duke. Lol.

Also, nice error in the bolded sentence.

What, you don't want to get beat by a Bruce-coached team again this year? Yep, I'd be calling for his job if I were in your shoes, too. How'd that game turn out against the team we beat by 12?

I am not sold on this team yet. I am afraid that this extremely tough schedule we have is going to nail us to the wall before the end of the season. Pearl is right, TN is NOT ANYTHING like the past couple of teams we have had. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED getting blown out to an AVERAGE Temple team. Maybe, I am being too tough on them, but it looks more and more like that Georgetown win was kind of a fluke. I hope things get better quickly. After the crappiest football seaon in a decade, I need something good to come out of TN's basketball Vols.

I didn't see an 'average' Temple team out there today. Props to them for playing the game they did. They must be wildly inconsistent, though, considering their record.

Not saying that. Just saying that UT has not had the success that Memphis has, much less those other programs that are the Elite of the Elite. You people are functionally illiterate.

If this is the way wse are going to play getting beat by the zags and blown out by Temple Fire Brue Pearl. We set a standard by firing Phil I don't think we can possibly settle for this crap.

If this guy can post this and not get banned, then I want my old name back. If me calling Ainge a choke artist and a fraud are grounds to be called a "troll" and banned, then what the hell is this? This is by far the best example of troll behavior you could ever imagine... and far more severe than any of my fact filled, truthful Ainge rants.

I agree, fire Bruce. I mean, its his 4th year already and we've yet to win a title. Its an insult to what Wade Houston, Uncle Jed, and Buzz built here.

I listened to enough fire Fulmer rants did they get banned I don't think so. Its my opinion If you don't like it enter your opinion and go on just no personal attacks.

....check my edited post. Not should not have been in there. BP is the best coach UT has had probably ever. Again, I'll take getting beat by UT every year if it means Tigers get to E8 and FF every year.

If you knew anything about basketball you would know that Top 20 teams are SUPPOSED to win at home, even against higher ranked teams.

Tigers will be fine come March, when it counts. Maybe Sweet 16. Not bad for a "rebuilding" year, considering that is UT's ulitimate achievement.

I know enough about hoops without feeling the need to weigh it by trolling another team's message board, if that's what you mean. And how the Tigers fare in March remains to be seen. From what I saw today you win one - maybe two.

Kind of like last year when Memphis was number 1?

Temple's RPI going into today was 8. They were jacked for the game and it is a great place to see a game! But Philly is a dump!

Some people need to chill out! Actually UT under BP has lost one early season game each year by around 20 points. Given that this team has 5 first year players, just finished finals ,and BP's boot camp over the past week, this performance should've been expected.

The lineups and rotations today didn't help much either. I'm still trying to figure out why Maze and Tabb were on the court together so much today with Prince out. Not having JP really hurt us, Chism needs to get his head out of the sand, Williams needs to get tougher, and all guards and wings need to start taking OPEN shots. I think BP breaking these guys down now is the right thing to do. Sometimes taking one step back does mean two steps forward. We'll get better!

Go Vols!
