Someone explain how this tournament works for me. I'm new at following baseball.

It's stupid as hell since it went to 12 teams. Single elimination today, double elimination Wednesday through Friday and then semifinals are back to single elimination and winner take all final. Those who win Wed and Thursday are off Friday I believe and come back Saturday for the semi's.
