Tennessee at Kentucky 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPNU

Hate to say it but Tatum does serve a purpose. He controls the tempo well and keeps his cool. Even if he contributed nothing to the numbers besides turnovers

controls tunrovers? he takes the most ill timed shots and makes the worst timed drives ive ever seen. the only reason he slows down the game is because he cant breathe from all the toking he has done.

None of that matters if he constantly chucks up awful shots. He is hurting the team right now.

Yeah guys, whatever advantage they had early in calls is drying up.

Whatever advantage, you got to be kidding the refs fouled out practically our whole team and let Ky foul as much as they wanted. But this is what you are going to get at Rupp if the refs called it fairly they might not get out of the gym safely. I am looking forward to the day they vacate a few seasons because of Caliparis cheating.

Thats all true unless the contact is unrelated to the shooting motion. IE: blake griffins dunk is an offensive foul because he was pushing perkins down with one hand. A kick to the chest might warrant an offensive foul call because it is not related to the shooting motion... IIRC

It's been like that since the building opened. You have to maintain composure and play through it. When you are Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, North Carolina, etc. you get calls at home, and you always will.

Kobe Bryant has made a career out of kicking people in the chest, but I must be stupid.

Lets see the proof man. There are millions of videos of Kobe on the internet. Let us all see the video where he kicks someone in the chest and the other guy is called for the foul. I really wanna see it.

Toward the end of the half the refs were giving makeups and being more lenient in their calls on us. We had ample opportunities to make up the deficit but we ended up taking horrible shots. Also, this should be a telling stat -

UK FG% - 68.4%
UT FG% - 28.1%

But those damn refs!

They should have had a few free throws, but it's at Rupp, it happens.

Why do you think KY has won 47 in a row at Rupp. No way the Refs are going to let them lose in that place. THey are talented but it's hard to play 5 on 8

His leg was out, which tons of players do to get contact. Getting leverage on a defender is likely going to result in an offensive foul in almost every situation. It's completely unrelated.

Ive witnessed, in person, him putting his foot out but not at blatant as tonight.. in fact not even close.

You are being sarcastic aren't you??

I'm not actually. I played ball all through HS. I have been around the sport long enough to know just the ability to control the tempo will keep you in the game if the rest of the team seems to be freaking out. Which, let's be honest, they are.

He sticks his damn leg out on almost every contested jump shot, you are a damn Lakers fan, so if you are telling me he doesn't you are either A) A worthless bandwagonner or B) a damn liar.

we got molested every time we threw the ball down low. some were fouls. It's hard to shoot well when you can't get a call while you are getting hacked under the basket.

they have only taken 19 shots from the field. they have shot 14 free throws to our 0. not blaming it all on the refs but they had something to do with this.

It's not though... he's getting non-shooting motion leverage by putting his foot out into a players chest. The only thing unrelated is his foot in comparison to a shooting motion.
