An AD can only set the conditions and remove obstacles. From there, it's up to the coaches.
The coaches can only gather, plan, scheme and develop. Once the ball hits the field, it's up to the players.
The players can only strive and excel at execution. From there, it's up to the other team, who also get a vote. We can't forget, both sides get to push things their own way.
All this to say, championships are never guaranteed. Even Saban, the greatest college football coach of all time, with unquestionably the most talented roster over the past two decades, won it all only about a third of the time (and may already have won his last).
So, to answer your question: when will all this success yield a national title? Maybe this coming year. Maybe not for five years. Probably something in between.
Why something in between? Because the AD is setting the best possible conditions, and the coaches are (across the board, more or less) doing a great job gathering, planning, scheming, and developing. And the players are talented, striving and excelling.
Now we just gotta wait for our vote to over-balance all those other championship programs' votes.
Go Vols!
