Thread title is misleading.

UT stopped allowing a Bama alumni group from meeting in a UT facility after a complaint about "Roll Tide" cheer. They asked the group to schedule it elsewhere from now on. It's not like they physically threw out a Bama fan.

I never took it in that light; I understood what "Boots out" meant. The writer did accomplish his mission; evidently.

I worked at Faculty Club in the mid 80s for 2 years and I never recall seeing the Bama alumni there. Recall many other groups but not them and a "roll tide" chant would be very memorable.

Why were they there to start with? A prospect touring the campus hearing chants of Roll Tide? The way they publicly clowned Phillip Fulmer? This should NEVER have taken place in the first place. Knoxville is PLENTY big enough for these clowns to find a place to meet.

I totally agree. These little bummer people don't even need to be in our state let alone in our city much less on our campus!! there's plenty of places for them to meet. I can't believe we allowed them on our campus for 40 years before they got thrown out!
