Tennessee dead last on this list

The only one I agree with is his #1 pick KY. with that said this guy has lost his mind. Cuse or WV. should be #2. and with UT at 16...just wow, that's insane. When UT beats Ohio State by atleast 8 points this week, I want to read this retards response. And to think these guys are paid to write garbage like this, it must be nice.

As a Kentucky fan, I think this guy is insane for disrespecting UT like this. I think Kentucky's game vs. Cornell will be more difficult for them that Tennessee's impending victory over the Buckeyes. I hope UT puts it on them by 10, even if Hopson did do the John Wall dance.

Having said that, DeCourcy quotes Wayne Chism and no other player at the end of his article:

16. "Tennessee. Ohio did the Vols the favor of chasing Georgetown out of the tournament and then performing as though that had been enough. Tennessee made some big shots in that game and the opener against San Diego State and is proud to have come so far given its midseason tumult.

"It's pretty big," Vols center Wayne Chism said after reaching the Sweet 16. "I've been there twice already and came up short twice. I'm happy to be back on that stage again, and I just can't wait to get there and be prepared to play the next team."

So he gives a nod to Tennessee in this way. That's odd that he should quote Chism saying such positive things ... and still puts UT at 16.

I can't tell if that was sincere or not, if it was your right about us being disrespected, wrong about us having an easier gàme.

A sportswriter named DeCourcy puts Tennessee last at sixteen among the sweet sixteen. But having said that, DeCourcy quotes Wayne Chism and no other player from any other school at the end of his article:

16. "Tennessee. Ohio did the Vols the favor of chasing Georgetown out of the tournament and then performing as though that had been enough. Tennessee made some big shots in that game and the opener against San Diego State and is proud to have come so far given its midseason tumult.

So he gives a nod to Tennessee in this way, suggesting that the team has tournament experience. That's odd that he should quote Chism saying such positive things ... and still puts UT at 16. He's a moron.

That's ironic. In ranking quality sports writers, DeCourcy comes in about dead last on my list.

I love this article. Keep telling this team they can't, it keeps this team focused and a chip on their shoulders. Go Vols!

Hard to agree with what he is saying. Duke and Syracuse look like best teams in the tournament and we all know eric bledsoe will not keep shooting the ball well enough for them to make it to the finals. If tennessee beats ohio st they will be a lock for the final 4 just not sure we have the outside shooting or inside play to compete with syracuse.

I've venture to say that of the 16 teams remaining, we've had one of the easiest paths (other than the #1 seeds).

He is like the guy on the CBS March madness that said "This is my 1st upset game" as soon as they annouced Tennessee on the show.. I noticed that the guy on CBS hasn't said anything else about Tennessee since he made us out to be worthless.. Maybe his mouth is full of crow now that we are in the sweet 16..)

The players have been made aware of this. Check out Rucker's twitter:

Maze: "Come Friday, they'll see how 16 we are."

Hopson: "I'm tired of everybody saying Ohio was easy. Ask Georgetown how easy Ohio was. We don't get credit for anything."

You can tell the guys really want this. That's not to say the OSU players don't want it, but they have extra motivation of being the first Tenn team to get past the Sweet 16. I'm just really confident about this game, and I hardly ever feel that way with this team.

For some reason I feel the same way you do. I actually feel better about this game than about SDSU for some reason.

I would agree. although I feel like we have about maxed out. Which is no big deal, ,,This is where we have been ranked most of the year. We got to where we should be in the tournament, which is much better than a lot of the 'ranked' teams did.

The extra motivation may help them get to the 8 which would be very nice.

Like the matchup, like our chances. Don't give a rat's @ss what some yahoo sportswriter has to say. He probably had Kansas winning it all.

Yeah, what an idiot.

Who would have thought Kansas would win it? Only losers and trolls and jerks. If you had Kansas winning you don't know anything about basketball.

Geez, everybody knew Northern Iowa and Ali Farokmenesh would get to the Sweet Sixteen.

Mike is a great analyst. He'll be able to tell you tomorrow why what he predicted today was wrong. GO VOLS!

OSU too high, Vols way too low.

If i had to rank the last 16 teams, it would probably go something like OSU 4-5 and Tenn. 6-8.

Very even, based on how these teams have been playing lately, IMO.
