I watched all the SEC tournament games today and am watching the Vandy vs. Ga. game. You see the Big Orange in full force at all the games. Not only do LV fans love the LVs but they simply love basketball.

These fans are real knowledgeable fans who deserve a great team. Lady Vol fans are the best fans.:clapping:

Actually, I was just noticing how much orange is still around for the current game. Great to see our fans representing.

That's the case every tournament. I know whenever I go, I go to all of the games. It's great fun when UT takes it all.

I noticed that as well. Trying to keep from hearing Paul Sutherland commentate. I have never heard someone love to hear himself talk as much as that guy. I know Carolyn Peck is ready for this night to be over with!

Tennessee got off to a fast start. Ball movement quicker and players moving. A sign that having an agile Nia to start rather than Mercedes was a good move by Warlick.

I just hope Holly sticks with Nia in her last season. Mercedes Russell is just not athletic enough and doesn't make that much of a difference on either side of the ball so with Nia the LVs get a much more active player.

There's a method to CHW madness? Kortney got into the game and played some significant minutes. She was 0-3. Shooters got to shoot so I hope Kortney is back to playing minutes against TAMU.

Having those two players in the game made it that much more exciting to watch.

Keep up the good work Nia Moore. New season. Time to bust out your game for the TENNESSEE FANS!

Amazing it is to see all the orange in the stands. They get to see in person the Tennessee we were longing to see since the preseason hype. It's a lot more fun when players are making shots so I'm happy to see all those happy Lady Vol fans cheering!

I think CHW may have found a good way to use Nia. She is an energizer bunny/X-factor type player. She brings quickness and some disruptive potential and can make some shots. But she seems more effective in limited doses if you will; in longer stretches, teams figure out ways to get her in post mismatches.

Dunbar not very good tonight but it is likely they will need her to hit some threes to break the A&M zone.

+++++++++++++

Actually when they made them a two-headed monster (Both Nia and Merc in the paint) was when we were most effective in stopping drives... When it was apparent that Ark would try to use one-on-one isolation moves to score, the coaching staff beefed up the def-interior, when Ark couldn't drive and had to shoot long jumpers...

Kortney (And every other shooter needs to fall under the miss 3, you have to drive the next one to the hoop or be subbed for a quarter. This is the only certain way to stop the barrage of missed threes and shots.

Kudos to the LV fan base for representing.... I wish i could get the days off to go and see the team.... Keep it up Girls.

For the first time since early in the season, I am excited, more than nervous, to see what the LVs can do with A&M. The Ladies seem a little more focused. I believe they can do it. Nia Moore is playing so aggressive, it's like a light has all of a sudden come on for Holly and the team.

I believe that a good run in the SEC tournament will help us in the recruitment of JUCO players to help fill the 2016 recruitment gap and 2017 recruiting. We can only cross our fingers.

Freak,,, You might want to check the authenticity of this "fan"

Coach, Freak is a strong proponent of freedom of speech/press (posts). Sometimes I wish he was not quite so generous (see obvious trolls - who love to d**n with faint praise or make "comments" about "our" team, and the out right haters, especially of women's athletics). But then I lurk on some other sites (Vandymania, Boneyard, etc.) and decide we have the better of two evils.....I think:).

Anyway, GBO!

Were there 102,455 fans at the basketball game???? Didn't think so

I never post in this forum, just read the responses in threads. This one made me post finally in here. That is totally uncalled for, it classless. I like football better than basketball but would never post stupid crap in the threads. All the teams are Big Orange to me. That being said, go win the tourney ladies!

This post is beyond troll-ish and i am kicking myself for responding to it (OUCH! Not so hard, self),

But by this standard of comparison, men's basketball, and the NBA, pro hockey, let's see MLB all suck. Plus, most college football teams play in stadiums that are way below 100K seating capacity.

I just hope this poster is 12 years old and even then, I worry about the life trajectory this adolescent is on.

Vol-Fann get the help you need now.

Lets get back to the reason for the post... Way to represent Lady Vol fans.!!

We need these girls to keep their focus as it is and we know it is ever so fragile....It helps for them to see even a small "sea" of orange, especially when the other team has a "pond" of Crimson, red, or as is the next foe's color. Black and gold...

Totally agree. Nice post.

What kills me about some of the troll fans is the fact that yes football is the flagship sports because of revenue. But we have had a lot of mediocre to above average football seasons. Pat won 8 National Championships when no other program at UT was doing much at all. So all be it the Lady Vols. They were representing the Tennessee brand with all kinds of heart and pride. The fans turn most arenas orange in tournament environments. For a little while Pearl had the men's fans traveling decent. But for 30 years our Lady Vols fans have been there through every victory. Heart breaking loss. And now in the most difficult and disappointing season to date. They are still turning Jacksonville Orange. Instead of trolling. Show some pride for the Big Orange. Go Lady Vols and win an SEC Championship.
