I'm proud of our fans every time an Oregon fan, Cal fan, etc., goes back home and spreads the news to their towns about how great of an experience they had in and around Neyland.

Says the guy who probably couldn't fight his way out a wet paper sack and only throws things at opposing fans when they aren't looking.

Seriously, like the swamp? So you want to be known as a pee thrower? Your sig pic is telling.

Because obnoxiousness is not a virtue.
Becoming a crowd of douchebags is not something to strive towards. We can do better.

why do we want to be recognized as the nicer fans in the SEC? A lot of people I talk to go on about how they want us to show the visiting team southern hospitality and so on..
I want us to be known as a place visiting fans don't have a good time at like the swamp or Athens i think it only adds the the home field advantage

Because interacting with opposing fans is part of the experience...this is supposed to be fun...I'm going to Norman next week...they have a great reputation for welcoming visitors...why strive to be the opposite? You want visitors to fear for their lives?...switch footballs and become a fan of Columbia soccer.

if you are going to Athens, are underage and want to drink, be careful because it's a REVENUE SPORT. and they don't just ticket you -- it's OFF TO JAIL..

yeah, that's real positive atmosphere..

For those of you who don't think a 19 year old visiting his friends at UGA won't have a beer, THINK AGAIN.

Athens Cops are terrible, pick on opposing fans and lock people up. Give good cops a bad name.

Be careful out there!

It's the cop's fault you broke the law?

Being nice to people and being a tough place to play have nothing in common. There is nothing wrong with treating others with respect and everyone having a good time...surely you're not serious.

Becouse we are not Athens or the swamp. We have morals..

Athens? It is one of my favorite trips I've taken. Only bad experiences I've had have been in Gainesville and even those were kinda fun because of the group I was with

Hey everyone I don't want us to throw beer bottles and pee on people I just mean good clean fun a little trash talk etc..

I'm just so tired of ga fans I just moved down here from Knoxville to st. Simons island with my gf cause she had family down here and it's like a stronghold for bulldogs. Most of the ones I've talked to say Neyland is on a whole different level as far as noise and atmosphere than Sanford! and that they usually were treated like crap by our fans.

I'd disregard their accounts as discredited...by the posters from other teams that praise the experience at Neyland ON HERE.

Just be nice to visitors. They have to sit there and hear "Rocky Top" played 30 times a quarter. To them, that is agonizing enough.

Like I told some UK fans in Lexington, If you don't like to hear the song, don't let em score. UK fans have come to know Rocky Top very well.

Because being hospitable is what we do. We want you to come in, have a nice time, get destroyed on the field, and then leave saying "Wow, knoxville was lovely, the people couldn't be nicer, and damn did they kick our tail..."

Pretty much this. Neyland can and should be intimidating but that doesn't require us throwing piss balloons or acting like jackwads. It requires fans to be passionate and support the team - to fill up the stadium, get loud, and basically rock the place. When Neyland rocks no venue is more intimidating to the visiting team.
