Jackson’s dad is a big time lawyer for a big time law firm in Nashville and has been on the UT Board of Trustees. I’m sure this was well thought out.
Wow seriously? I didn’t know that about his dad. That says a lot imo. No way his dad advises him to do this without knowing it will only be beneficial.

The NCAA isn’t designed or equipped to manage or govern college athletics in their current form. There decisions are arbitrary with no consistency and they lack legal status to limit the ability of individuals to earn money. They have argued for years the are exempt from the Sherman act, but has no legal standing. They need to be replaced.

Agreed however, instead of being able to focus on recruits for '25 and '26, we will be reading about NIL issues 24/7, as there probably won't be a lot of recruiting talk till this NIL BS is cleared up.

BTW, can the NCAA take away and or limit our NIL??
No.

All this is in the courts now. The players and recruits have nothing to worry about but focus on football. Players got to work coaches got to coach and let Donde Plowman,Danny White and our AG and the university of Tennessee and their law team deal with the rest. GBO!!!!
As an alum I must say it is refreshing to see my university fight back on this. We finally have people in place with a clue and a plan and guts.
