Joe Lunardi had a chat at 3 p.m. on espn.com. He says even with the loss that UT is on the line between a 3 and a 4 seed.

There is NO chance in hell that UT will get a 3-seed. What is this guy smoking? With the late season collapse, I would guess that they get a #5 seed, which is of course the seed that often results in a lot of first round upsets.

I did not know that. Very surprising. Obviously derpends on the draw, but I think you guys can cause a lot of problems for a lot of teams and I would pick against you only if it were Uconn or another big man team against you.

I hate to say it, but I think we're out of gas and out of luck. Just getting past the first tourney game would be a positive in my mind.

yeah, i think u have nailed it here o-dub. we have been pressing our luck all year and finally the tank may have ran out. i hope we can turn it around, but next year will be even better. good job anyway guys

anyone think arkansas passes us with a final appearance in the sec tourney. Seems to me they are coming on strong here at the end and getting alot of coverage. They were on national tv for alabama, TN, Florida, and so far they look like the best team in the tournament. jmo.

i think getting the extra rest can't be all bad, but i the lower seed hurts, we could have played into a 3, instead we played into a 5 and should we make the round of 16 will probably have to play duke or uconn, everyone pray we catch nova's bracket

Why would we want to play a team with great guards who will butcher our press?

I used to always forget the numeric matchups, then I started telling myself that both seeds numerical value, once added, equals 17. So if I think Alabama will be a 10 seed, I know they'd play a 7.

Nope, a lot of the talk on CBSsportsline is bad. Honestly, this is my first sports forum dedicated to one certain university. I'm a UT alum of 2004 and moved 6 months ago and needed a place to go to keep up and hear the Orange Nation speak.

I'm still hoping for a 4 seed based on RPI but I am not sure with our record down the stretch. We could end up a 5.
