Tennessee has turned the corner...

I don't buy it.

You could easily have posted this same thing when we nearly beat LSU under Dooley or Alabama with Kiffin. Sometimes bad teams manage to put together decent games and good teams crap the bed. I think they happened to intersect this time. One week ago we were struggling against South Alabama and before that we couldn't take advantage of a Florida team that's as bad as they've been in a decade, without their starting quarterback no less. I obviously don't need to mention Oregon.

Which isn't to suggest we can't get better and improve as the season goes on into a team ready to compete with the upper echelon SEC. I'd more than love for this to be the case and that today's game was a harbinger of things to come. But I've gotten my hopes up far too many times the past few years with close losses. As far as I'm concerned Tennessee hasn't turned a corner until we get into a close game against a quality opponent and win. Anything less is the same old same old, just slightly easier to swallow.

No, this is different.

Butch has a resume. Butch is a winner. Did and Dooley neither had nor were.

Also, Butch is recruiting lights out.

If you can't see the difference I'd suggest you eliminate any preconceived notions and think harder.

I recall both Dooley and Kiffin having good recruiting classes. As for everything else you posted only time will tell.

As it stands Butch has just as many signature wins as Kiffin and Dooley.
