Jesus I just got depressed, as this randomly reminded me of Cardosa at South Carolina! 🥲 I had almost gotten that outta my head! Lol The SEC is going to be tough with the post play this year!

Yes, the post position is going to be tough all over the SEC this upcoming season. Shakira Austin, Hannah Gusters & Faustine Aifuwa, Cordosa and Boston, Stalti, Jessica Carter just to name a few. Tamari is going to have a lot of really good matchups this year!!!

Tennessee needs a one-two punch in the paint. Expecting Tamari to play 35 minutes a game is a stretch. She deserves help which is where Emily has an opportunity. The biggest improvement (and help for Tamari and our other posts) will be our ability to hit the 10-15 footer consistently and our guards hit the 20 footer on a kick-out. This is an area we have not been great at for a long time.

Emily has got to know the playing time is there!!! Let's hope she has worked hard and improved!! Some of that is up to John!! Can he develop post players??? Time will tell..

Joy McCorvey was a really good undersized post player at St John's then went on to develop post players at St Johns, Michigan, and Florida State, Including Kiah Gillespie at Florida State who earned all American and all ACC honors and a couple all big ten post players at Michigan during her time there. One would think that she would be working with the posts and helping with their development this year. It seems she has been pretty successful in that role and i would hope that success continues on right here on Rocky Top!!!

its a health monitor ring she got in the bubble lasts season they were giving it out to NBA and WNBA players but candace still wears hers

Hate to degrade Emily but I do not think she is going to be able to improve enough to be much of a backup. I say this because of the way she clomped her way through most games last year. She may improve if she could be more aggressive. I hope I am mistaken and she balls out.

Tamari and Emily both need a little meanness in their game....It hasn't appeared, so far...Their personalities are not real aggressive...
