These girls look really happy don't think we'll be seeing many portal entries.

I will say it again the LVs have been locked into the defense and rebounding philosophy to the exclusion of a cohesive offense for far too long. The LVs now will derive the benefits from meshing both strategies. Welcome to the Coach Kim era. GBO.

She looks awe struck. The power of this place is not lost on her. You can tell.

I’m really digging her energy. Seems so professional and, dare I say “tough?” Pat always gave off a bit off a tough vibe that Holly and Kellie just didn’t have.

Coach Caldwell already seems like someone who would tell you to hit the stadiums if you sass her in practice lol.

Seems supers obvious that Caldwell makes a wonderful first impression. I realize everyone was probably a little nervous about the very first meeting, and that some people (like me) sometimes smile or laugh if they're nervous, but the looks on the players' faces are nice to see. Nobody is giving off "so YOU are the lady who took Kellie's job" vibes. They all look like they're happy to see her and are feeling kinda excited for the future. 🧡

I take these things with a grain of salt. It's kind of like when you meet your new boss. Only a fool would give attitude right away. You smile, assess the situation and scheme in silence. Not saying anyone is planning on leaving, but everyone is clearly being diplomatic.

I do hope most or all return, I’m not crazy enough to think there won’t be some movement.

Especially if Harper takes another job right away. I could see a couple of them going to play for her somewhere else.

I do think these girls really bleed orange and love Tennessee above all else though. It’s not just the WBB program culture. UT has a great student atmosphere and culture right now, hard to walk away from that. The college experience is more than just the time you spend on the court.

Yeah, hugging herself while she was addressing the team showed a lot of nerves. Totally understandable though. Hopefully she’ll get more comfortable soon.

It’s a really special place. There’s a reason students come from all over the country to study at Tennessee and, while I know in many ways it can be the Big Orange Screw, it can also be a phenomenal place to come into your own as an adult.

She had to wake up this morning and think “did that really just happen?” But here is reality for her, if she truly wants to be the next “it” coach she will never get a better opportunity than right here, right now.

Change is not always a bad thing in sports. It can be an opportunity of new start for some that were not getting much playing time in Kellie's system but may can flourish in the new one. It should be back to zero for all remaining players to impress the new coach.
