Confidence will help her more than anything. That last game should be the confidence booster she needed to get over the hump. She is much more talented than I gave her credit for initially. Just keep working on that elbow shot.

I figure we only move up to 10th in the AP poll and that Iowa will drop out of the top ten. Maryland and Stanford have two losses, but still are held in high regard and should be. Our big jump would come if we could beat Stanford at home that might get us in the top five.

As far as rpi were number two and sos 8 with a projection to finish with an rpi of 4 and a sos of 19. Realtime projecting 25 and 4 and that would be awesome if we can do it. Massey has moved us up to number 7 and projecting 24 and 5 which would again be better than I expected. I think if we could meet either projection we'd be a two or certainly a three seed. Either of those records would get you a top ten finish in the polls.

Then we should be running more sets to get these shots instead of dribbling into bad mid range shots, which we do way too often. That’s still only just over 4 made threes a game.

In our last 5 games, we are 22/65 for 34% three-point shooting.

Give credit to Tamari Key, who's increased offensive prescence is making defenses collapse on her and thereby increasing our chances at open 3 point shots. Also give credit to the coaches, who are playing Miles as the defensive PG, freeing up JW, who is starting to heat up as a 3 point shooter. If this trend holds, then when Rae comes back, we will be a feared 3 point shooting team.

To be honest, in several of those games one player got really hot from 3 and made everyone else's bad percentage look better. And having one player unexpectedly hot is way better than not being able to throw it in the ocean, which is our usual 3 pt game.

But consistency is what we need, and what we hope we are developing.

Article mentioned every who cares ranking stat in LV history, and unless I missed it, failed to mention the 8-0 start is without our best player. Think that might be a tiny bit worth mentioning? Maybe when you're talking about all who have stepped up? To me its the basis of the accomplishment.

The Texas game was at home. We were supposed to play there last season but the game never happened.

Our only true road games have been UCF and VT. Two neutral court games against KU and OSU in Vegas.
